Jane was rather thankful that her travel to register to become a Pokémon trainer was not that far. She lived right next to Kanto, after all! It was a blessing, really, for she knew that there were certain individuals who had to travel from regions far, far away. Not only that, but Jane was rather familiar with Kanto! Her cousin lived in Pallet Town, for crying out loud! Things were rather swell on her part. Earlier today, however, she had to admit that there were Butterfrees in her stomach. Early morning jitters. It was a big step in her life, which was probably why the whole way to Pallet Town seemed like a blur. Jane may or may not have rushed to get there - that little piece of information was confidential, but it seemed as if no matter how quickly she ran walked, the party was just about nearly started.

There were a plethora of new faces there, a large group of trainers who she had never seen in her life! As well as a couple of familiar kids - her good friends! A predicament arose in the midst of all this excitement, though. Who was she to greet first?

Jane though perhaps the best thing to do was to say hello to her own group of friends, since everyone else had already started to engage in conversations that she should not interrupt. The prankstress gave a wave to what seemed to be Dirk, Roxy, and ... some other blonde individual! Jeez Louise, way to stick out like a sore thumb, Jane.

"Golly, I can't believe I'm finally meeting you guys!" She gushed, flashing a bright smile to those she was speaking to. Her Cyndaquil, who had been quiet up until that moment, gave a greeting as well, the fire on his back growing for a short moment. "This is the equivalent to a dream come true!"

Terezi went to registrate too, her loyal Bagon at her side. She approached to Karkat, with her usual grin on her face. “Hey Karkles!” She said loudly “Why so alone? I thought you already had your traveling team! Because you know, everybody would want to have you as their leader” She laughed “Also, Im surprised that you aren’t with that boy, I thought he was your best friend! Maybe he is just bored and changed you for the spiderbitch? That’s a stupid decision anyway, but im feeling bad for you”

“Yeah, I’m sure you will,” Vriska said to Eridan, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow at him. “Considering how obvious it is that I don’t eat 88 pounds of cookie dough every time you insult me. Why don’t you just go get your moirail and her Wailmer right now so we can settle this?”

She was a little annoyed at Eridan (which didn’t surprise her), and kind of wished he’d go bother someone else. She was having a great time talking to John, as embarrassing as that was. And he was pretty cute for a human. Yet, here the purple-blood was, ruining it with his holier-than-thou attitude and complaints about the town. It wasn’t that bad, honestly. And even if it were, John was right: they’d be leaving soon. They were going on an adventure! Adventures were exciting, everyone had to know that, even a prick like Eridan.

“Eh, it still seems suspicious to me.” Vriska said, turning her attention back to John. “But whatever, it’s your pokémon, not mine. Spinneret would still beat her any day!”

He glared at Terezi sidelong, and then sighed, arms crossed. "I don't need your sarcasm, brainless. And I don't care if John fills thousands of pails with Vriska Serket and they somehow manage to create some kind of hideous mutant child to cement their disgusting bond, John can do what he wants. I'm not even remotely his friend at all, stop speaking nonsense." He pointed at her Bagon, head tilted, a little unsettled by the mental comparison he was already making. "That's your pokemon? God damn it, Terezi, I'm feeling bad for whoever has to travel with you--" he paused, and then asked, "You already asked Strider and co for the displeasure?"

“Oh wow, you’ve got a weird colored Pokémon, too? Huh, maybe it’s not that unusual, then. I’m sure it’s nothing bad, at least! What’s yours like?” John was kind of pleasantly surprised Eridan was being so friendly to him after all the hostility on his blog. He and Vriska seemed to be friends in their own weird way, too. Damn, he would never ever understand troll relationships. They still completely baffled him, even if he was friends with a bunch of them.

He turned to Vriska again. “Are you kidding? Casey would kick its spidery ass. Especially since she’s like, a fire Pokémon. Once she learns some awesome burn-y moves she will just completely destroy your Spinarak.” He paused, leaning forward to poke the spidery Pokémon lightly. “Spinneret, right? I guess she’s not sooo bad, heh. Not a patch on Casey, but pretty cute."

He withdrew, abruptly remembering he hadn't actually got anybody to journey with yet. Tagging along with Karkat was absolutely his plan whether Karkat liked it or not, but the more the merrier, right? "Oh, that reminds me! Who are you guys going to travel with?”

eridan nodded his pokemon wwas a wweird color too plamin the pokeball and givvin it a toss in the air as the horsea comes out he catches the pokemon in one hand and the ball in the other "this is captain jack sparroww i may just shorten it to jack and hell kick both your pokemons asses in spades and still havve time for lunch but still he does havve the odd colorin on his scales its a tealish rather then a deep sea blue you see wwhat i mean" eridan pokes the pokemons scales

the seahorse of course is squirmin and makin bubbles all ovver in happiness then he looks at casey and makin bubbles go towward the pokemon they are just little wwater bubbles that look pretty not meant to be an attack as this horsea is a pretty happy child squirmin and bouncin and enjoyin life gigglin and climbin all ovver eridan before eridan recalls the ball of energy into his pokeball

"the derpy human is right you knoww nevver send a bug against a firetype pokemon and charmander is supposed to learn ember at like levvel 7 or so wwhich means it gets its fire attacks early and could eat your spinnette for breakfast evven wwith the basic scratch attack as charmanders havve a decent attack powwer it i remember right and still bugpokemon tend to be frail but fast and i dont knoww a single one that is evven wworth a damn i mean sure thins like dustox havve psychic powwers and havve access to the powwder series of movves but you wwould just be so much better off gettin a grass type for the same effect at least then you havve access to superior attacks and can resist wwater type movves captain jack is better then both of your pokemon though it starts out wwith bubble wwhich wwhile wweakish is a elemental attack and he gets bonus powwer from usin it" eridan adjusts his glasses tryin to look smart

And stop lying, that kid is the only one how wants to be with you, of course you have to be friends " She sighed "Shut up, someday shell be an awesome and powerful dragon, obviously better than yours" Terezi hugged her pokemon, smiling "Don't listen to him, Karkles is just jealous because he don't have any opportunity against you" The pokemon nodded in responde and Terezi let her go and laughed softly, before speaking again "No, I haven't, I wasn't planning to anyway, but that is actually a good idea"

“I am completely aware of type advantages and disadvantages, thanks.” Vriska said, glaring at Eridan. She turned away from him in annoyance, deciding she didn’t really feel like putting up with him right now. As much as she loved to hate Eridan, she didn’t want a completely hate-filled day. She directed her attention to John instead.

“I think you’re forgetting that I have aaaaaaall the luck! Some of that is bound to rub onto Spinneret here.” She said, as she picked up Spinneret to give her a small hug. “She’s pretty fast too. With and my luck, she’d be able to avoid your fire attacks pretty easily. She’s going to become the greatest Ariados ever, just you wait!” She paused for a moment, and added “I have to admit, I’m glad you’ve finally realized that spiders are not gross, and can actually be quite adorable.”

Vriska thought for a moment about how to answer John’s question. She had no idea who she was going to be travelling with. She hadn’t really thought about it, figuring she’d just go with the flow, and if worse came to worse, she’d go by herself. She knew that was a pretty lame plan, every adventurer needs a companion or two! Or a Sidekick! A sidekick would actually be pretty fantastic.

“I was just planning on travelling by myself,” she lied. “I’ve got my pokémon and everything I need in my bag. I’m good to go.”

Tavros made his way inside the laboratory, following Aradia and the rest. He was relived that Gamzee was alright, and that he got to be with his friends. Rufio, on the other hand, seemed a bit riled up by the other Pokémon. He would give each of them a cocky stare down, as if to say: "Yeah, I can take you on." Of course, Tavros had no desire for a battle at this point. He wasn't even a registered trainer yet!

As he filled out the registration form, he wondered about what he would do first. It would be fun to travel with others, but who would he go with? He took a quick glance around. Gamzee was an obvious choice. They were bros for life, or something like that. Aradia was also a good friend, plus his roleplay partner, so teaming up with her would also be fun. Of course, she might rather group up with Sollux instead of him.

After turning in his papers, he went to check how everyone else was doing.

Aradia was glad to get registration over with. It was really, really long. How can one damn registration building hold all these excruciatingly dumb questionnaires? It was mind-boggling. She finished her registration along with Tavros, and then turned to Sollux and stood by him, waiting for him to do the same. "be careful, s0llux. it's extremely l0ng, s0 we might be here a while." As she watched Tavros wheel away, she thought that a while was definitely an understatement.

“Oh man, Jack Sparrow is a cool name for a Pokémon! Personally, my favourite pirate film is Cutthroat Island -maybe I’ll call one of my Pokémon Morgan Adams- , but I guess Pirates of the Caribbean is pretty cool, too. He’s named after Jonny Depp’s pirate guy, right?” John was very excited by the prospect of naming Pokémon after characters in movies, and fully intended to do this for all of his Pokémon.

Casey looked a little alarmed for a second at Jack’s bubble-blowing, hiding behind John’s leg. She quickly realised it was meant as a friendly gesture though, and smiled shyly at the Horsea. And wow, Eridan sure knew a lot about Pokémon! John was pretty un-knowledgeable, especially in the technical department. He knew basic type advantage stuff, and a load of ghost Pokémon myths and legends, but that was about it! And a trainer AND a breeder? He was kind of impressed.

John was willing to concede that Spinneret was kind of adorable. (If he was honest, he had no real opinion on spiders one way or the other. He just really liked pissing Vriska off.) “I’m glad my approval is so important to you,” he sniggered.

“But really, travelling alone? You guys are no fun. What kind of adventure about friendship is that going to be?” He leaned forwards, lowering his voice a tad. “I am totally going to be travelling with Karkat, even if he doesn’t know it yet. Can’t leave him on his own, that would be too sad. And we’re practically best friends anyway, so it should be fine. I’m sure he’ll be grateful for the company!” John paused for a moment, kind of wanting to invite Vriska along. Would she even want to travel with him? Well, it wasn’t like she had anybody else to go with. Surely she couldn’t really want to travel alone, that was so lame.

“You’re welcome to travel with us, by the way, Vriska?” he said, as nonchalantly as he could.

"Miss Croft, I am imploring you! Quit working yourself up, or I'll be forced to knock your lights out and I'd really rather not."

As much fun he had wrestling and boxing with his new travel companion, the closer he came to arriving to the designated meeting place, the shorter Jake's patience for his mankey's quick temper became. Currently, her attempts to engage him in another boxing match were just bothersome. Snorting at his warning, the pokemon hoisted herself onto Jake's torso and climbed up to his shoulders. She bashed at his head and although it hurt, he didn't react past a hiss of pain and shooing her down to cling to his backpack. Though Lara did seem to take heed in his words, despite the defiant hitting, and settled her self down.

Jake waited a moment, allowing her to get comfortable, and took off with a grin. This was going to be simply amazing! Sure, he'd been on plenty adventures before, but none as extensive as the one he was taking today. There were going to be so many different types of Pokemon. There were going to be so many new and interesting places. Problems to solve, people to meet! Out of everything, however, he was looking forward to seeing his friends and exploring with them the most.

It was about twenty minutes more of traveling before a quickly growing group of people and pokemon came into his line of vision.

"Brace yourself, Lara, it's time to set off like a breezer," and with that, he was sprinting forward with an excited bounce in his step. Scanning the group, his eyes quickly locked onto a familiar pair (wait, trio?) of blondes and a black-haired beauty. Swinging his arm about in greeting, Jake made a beeline for them, muttering quiet a "excuse me" as he maneuvered around a few groups of people he didn't recognize. "Jane, Strider, Roxy! Sweet jumping Jiminy Cricket, it's you!"

Coming to a halt in front of the four, he beamed at each of them. His mankey chattered and leaped to the ground as he caught his breath, leaning into a hand he placed on Dirk's shoulder. "It's positively splendid to be able to- Oh!" Eyes snapping back and forth between Dave and Dirk a few times, Jake's eyebrows knitted together suspiciously. "Strider, how many of you are there parading about?!"

Dave snorts and puts his shades back on, taking roxy's hand and shaking it
"sup rox? hey, you aint too hard on the eyes either.", he said, adding a shrug to the question, looking at Dirk.
"dunno rox."
He looked at Jane and Jake as they came over, tilting his head back to look at Jake through his shades, staring at him blankly
"sup? im Dave Strider, im Dirk's twin bro." he gave a lame shrug to his statement, looking at the four other kids in from of him. reminded him of himself, john, jade and rose a bit. weird.

Feferi claps her hands together, lacing her fingers in between each other. "That's adorable! Or should I say,

[/color]" she almost failed hold back the laughter threatening to burst out from her mouth. "Pawsitively adorable![/color]"
Directly after saying it, the laughter can't be controlled. What can she say? She loves puns! The worse the better!
She's prepared to strike up a bigger conversation, of course, but she hears her name from behind her. It's none other than her moirail (though she hadn't really needed to look to confirm that -- he had a seadweller accent and an accent all his own, mixed into one voice that was uniquely Eridan), and he was with...
Oh, that was his huge hatecrush, right? She hopes offhandedly that he hasn't already embarrassed himself with some trite and poorly contrived flirting attempts!

That would be really unfortunate!

She raises a hand in greeting to him. "You better not be talking about me behind my back, dork![/color]" She calls to him. Quickly, though, to avoid isolating Nepeta, she turns to her. "That's my moirail, Eridan, by the way. I bet you've talked to him![/color]" She says rapidly. Ostracizing people wasn't a good way to start out a journey, now was it?

She takes just a few steps towards her pale-mate and gently places a hand on Nomia, who had been trying to roll out into the tall grass. What a silly Pokemon!
"He hasn't been causing you any trouble, has he?[/color]" She asks the people who surround him, hoping he hasn't done anything too stupid yet.
"Hoping" being the key word here, of course.

“Pleeeeeeeease,” Vriska said, rolling her eyes. “Your approval isn’t important to me at all. I just think it’s pretty great when people learn to appreciate spiders!” It was a bit of lie, whenever John told her spiders were icky and gross, she took it a little personally. Hearing him agree that spiders could be cute was… nice, for lack of a better word.

She thought about John’s offer to travel with him, and didn’t see any reason not to, even though Karkat would probably be joining them. It was still better than travelling alone, and she could think of some other trolls (namely, Eridan) she’d like to travel with even less. So it couldn’t be that bad, and she supposed travelling with someone awful was better than travelling alone. She’d never admit it, but she did get lonely sometimes.

“I gueeeeeeeess I could come,” She agreed, sounding as nonchalant as possible. “But only because I think it would be good for Spinneret to interact with other trainer’s pokémon outside of battle.”
