A downhill slope several miles long probably wasn’t the best choice for someone who hadn’t skated in a month. Dirk stared down from the top of the hill. Perhaps a warm-up was in order.
He found a flat, open spot to practice in. Knees in, press down on the tail, jump with the front foot. Yup, he could still do an ollie. He pushed himself around a bit, practicing turning and a few basic tricks. Still as great as ever! He was so ready for this.

The male left the trollian client up on his visor just in case as he got up from his current position of his face smashed against the ground. He had gone the entirely opposite way towards Route 7 on accident. Upon realizing this mistake, he had spazzed out and unfortunately fell off. He grumbled as he picked up his runaway skateboard before he started his way to Route 16 cursing to himself.
And there the Department Store was he mentally pointed out to himself. That was probably the only building he could recognize what with it's vibrant colors and it's gigantic size compared to all the other buildings. Good, he was on the right track. He'd give himself a high five if it wouldn't distract himself. Taking a turn, he made his way into Route 16 and this time made a smoother stop at the front of the station. He read the sign next to it.
"Enjoy the slope! CYCLING ROAD"
He had managed to not get lost! He then followed it up with a triumphant and loud, "HECKETH YEEEESS!!" Thrusting an arm and closed fist towards himself with a really big and satisfied grin plastered across his face included. He ran off through the station, skateboard tucked under his arm. The moment he reached the other side, without even looking for Dirk announced his arrival.
Dirk heard Mituna's scream from a quarter mile away. He made a u-turn and sure enough there was a yellow helmet in the distance. He rolled quickly over to him. "How's it hanging, Mit? Haven't seen you in a while."
He stood at Mituna's side and pointed towards the edge of the hill. "We're about to take on the most delirious slope this side of Kanto. Many a skater have found themselves drenched after failing to make the 90 degree turn at the bottom of the middle path. This is, of course, the path we're going to take."
He looked over towards where Dirk was pointing and squinted, frowning when he couldn't quite make everything out clearly. He tipped up the visor of his helmet and brushed his bangs up away from his eyes before dropping the helmet back on top. It still didn't give him much more of a result but if this was as dangerous as Dirk was implying, he'd be better off anyway this way. He'd need to make sure he could see everything if he was going to make that sharp turn that he was apparently supposed to anticipate.
Heck, he'd anticipate anything with the way Dirk would tell it like it was the most intense action anyway. Even something as simple as changing your clothes.
"I AM TSHOO R-READYYY FOR THISHH! L... LETS DOO THIZ!!" he shook with excitement.
One should hope Mituna knows how to swim.

Dirk chortled. "That's the sort of enthusiasm I like to see. Follow me." He made his way back to the slope and waited for Mituna, the nose of his skateboard hanging over the edge.
"Mossdeep, get ready for liftoff. Space shuttle Strider-Captor launching in 3... 2... 1..." Dirk shot off like a rocket, and the adrenaline rush quickly followed. He couldn't turn his head around to see if Mituna was following.

"GOOD LUCK!" he exclaimed as he tossed over his bag nearby and moved over to Dirk's side and put his right foot on the board. Listening to Dirk's voice, he nodded and pushed with his left foot a few moments after hearing "1," hopping onto it leaving his momentum to help carry him.
Not a single worry was in his mind now after he quickly followed. Going down the slope made him at ease and perhaps he'd still feel that way if the greatest but only challenge of the path wasn't coming up. Now it was all thrown out the window for feeling tense and as if he was about to burst with all of his anticipation. It'd be coming real quick and it'd be take a miracle to pull this off quite nicely.
Despite the 15 minutes Dirk spent gelling his hair that morning, he could feel his hair moving out of place. Thankfully he had a spare bottle in his backpack. With nothing to worry about, Dirk was enjoying the ride. He slowed down a little bit to let his friend catch up.
Since they both faced left, Dirk had to shout at the back of Mituna's head to talk to him. “You ready to pull the raddest stunt of your life?” Of course this turn wouldn’t be as cool as Dirk was making it out to be, but it was fun to watch Mituna get riled up.
Dirk started turning to his right a little early. He almost flew into the water before he even got to the turn, but he made it. Mentally cheering himself, he skimmed his foot along the ground to stop.

"TATACLYY!!" he shouted in response, following it up with a cackle as he saw the turn coming up soon.
Unfortunately, Mituna ended up making the same mistake although with less favorable results. Ending up too far on the inward side of the turn, he was literally trying to balance for his life as he now found himself on the edge and it wasn't too long 'till he fell off all together.
Zip....Click.....Click....Click....Click. Swoosh. All the cool noises one would associate with burning the track up and sweeping down the hill at an alarmingly increasing rate of speed. The chica didn't know the definition of the word stop and hadn't attempted to slow her descent once. The feel of air brushing across her gray skin, moving so fast that it felt like even the sun could catch her at the moment. She wouldn't be taking this way on her journey but one couldn't avoid the temptation of one last ride. One last grind down the big-easy before she's deemed a trainer and unable to ride down here without a bunch of goon's challenging her. And those morons would have higher leveled pokemon.
Eyes focusing past the completely rad shades and focusing on what lies ahead of her. Avoiding. Swerving. Interacting with some trainers. Completely blowing off some of the people who actually rode motorcycles through this place. Seriously where was the thrill? Where was the challenge? She scoffed and spit on those lesser thrill seekers. Extremist skimming the exit rail and getting real air. Such SICK AIR BRAH![/size]
SMACK!
COLLISION IMMINENT! With the boy in the yellow jumpsuit. Man she was so glad she was wearing a helmet right now. Though it did kind of make this whole an extreme headbutt. Maybe this wasn't the best idea. Latula crouching low and preparing for a sick wipe out. Five...Four....Three....Two....
With that, he was headbutted in the side with some serious force. If he had seen it coming he probably would've screamed ahead of time and waved his arms in a comically ridiculous manner as if to protest and stop it. Unfortunately for him, the entire thing was a surprise. He supposed he probably would've gotten hurt either way but still. Nevertheless he was indeed saved at the cost of a painless trip and he landed on his face once more a good amount of feet away.
That was the only way to sum up the experience. BAM. And maybe a little SHAZING! She had tried to play things technical and had lost her head when it came to making sure she didn't keep her sight on things ahead of her. The sting of failure was almost as bad as the sting of her body hitting the concrete and the feeling of her nerves screaming at her for being a complete idiot.
"M4n. Th4t w4s my b4d. L1k3 1f th1ngs w3r3 r3v3rso world 1t ST1LL would h4v3 b33n my b4d." She at least knew to apologize before she noticed it was just Mitts. That actually sounded pretty bad but she knew he wouldn't sweat if she beat him up a little. That sounded even worse. Wow she was doing a thing were she kept spitting up her words without even trying. "Ah! You finally decided to come shred on cycling road. Were you ripping air? You know....Before I did the body plant on top of you."
Not even bothering to get up just yet, Mituna rolled over onto his back and faced towards the others. "H..Hnnnnffgg.. n.. nOO I DON'T RTHINK I WAKTHhhsss.. evaktly. Just trddYING A THITK TUURN. THat you Latulalalaaa and where ith my boaryd?" He sort of wiggled as he contemplated between getting up to look for it or just continue laying down on the concrete. Switching between the two rapidly as if there was some on and off switch controlling him and some brat was playing with it. He flopped onto the ground at last before he resumed speaking, "Blarghthhtghghaaagh Diiiiarkthh are you tjere still?" If he was, he sort of wanted to shout out, LETS DO IT AGAAAIN!!
Hearing another board rolling down and then a WHUMP, Dirk turned around to see if Mituna was hurt. Sure enough, he was sprawled out on the ground next to... some girl? He recognized her face from Mituna's friends list on a social media site. What was her name again?
He heard him calling his name, so he grabbed both his own board and Mituna's and hurried over to where Mituna was. Luckily, he didn't seem to have any serious injuries. "What happened back there?" He dropped his friend's board next to him.
Dirk figured he should introduce himself to the almost-stranger. "Name's Dirk. We were just skateboarding together." He raised his arm and extended his hand for a handshake, but this girl looked like she would just hi-five it, so he kind of left it hanging in the air.
He tilted his head to the side a bit in curiosity. "Aren't you one of Mituna's friends? I thought this was going to be a two man show."
