After much consideration rose had decided to go to Lavender town by way of Saffron. Her reasoning behind this was that the famous Mr. Fuji would be able to help her find out more information on the legendary pokemon.
Lovecraft was floating now, looking at all the new sights. The Inkay was curious though that seemed to get him into trouble a lot. He still stayed close to rose but was eager to see ALL THE THINGS!
Rose chuckled to herself as Lovecraft was exploring the area; she wasn’t too worried about wild pokemon getting the best of him, as she had worked hard to build up their trust which made them a pretty good team. Admittedly she had almost no real battle experience yet, besides some little fun faux battles with her mo, but she had quite a bit of knowledge on the subject. Soon enough it, she thought to herself, she would get to experience it.
♪ Route 6 was a pretty nice place for a Fletchling. It had all the bird necessities: trees, grass, and a bit of water to drink from and clean off in. It also had some weird buildings that wingless folk come in and out of a lot. One went to no-where, as far as he was concerned, but the other confused him. What point does it serve to have a building you walk through to get to a place when you can easily fly over it? This is why everyone should just sprout wings! Everything would just be so much better and easier for, well, everyone, right? But then again the sky would get kind of crowded...
Whatever, enough weird hypothetical talk! This little Fletchling was in the mood to do what his kind are known for: singing a beautiful song unmatched by any other Pokémon, bird or otherwise. Plus, look at that! A trainer and her Pokémon seem to be passing by! He even has an audience, what more could a little bird ask for? He took a deep breath in and belted out a loud warbling note.
Well, uh, it seems like beauty is in the ear of the beholder. It's probably in your best interest to shut him up...
Rose stopped, looking up in the direction of the Fletchling. Oh dear, the little pokemon sounded worse then when her mother took it in her head to do karaoke night; The butchering of Nidoqueen's bicycle she had belted out was better then this poor pokemon's tinny warbles. At the same time it did seem to be rather friendly, and as such she thought she might try and get the little pokemon to join up with her the non violent way.
Lovecraft on the other tentacle was not taking the off key singing so well. letting out his most ferocious chirrup he started to float over to the branch.
"Lovecraft, come back here please" she said, the little Inkay returned but still glanced over at the annoying Fletchling. Rose then stepped forward "My, what a lovely voice" she said smiling up at him "You seem to be quite the preformer." she reached into her bag and pulled out an oran berry, along with a normal pokeball. Putting the ball in her left hand and holding it by her side, she held out the berry with her right "A berry for your song?" she asks holding it up higher.
Lovecraft starts to see what she is doing, though still bristles, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
The little fletching puffed out his feathers and stopped singing after hearing Lovecraft's chirp. Doesn't that Inkay know that it's rude to interrupt someone's performance? Well, at least his trainer seems to have the right idea! Some Pokémon just can't appreciate true talent.
The small bird Pokémon flew down looked the berry curiously with an endearing tilt of the head. It seemed like a perfectly normal and fine berry, but one should always have to double-check just in case. Or something like that anyway. Regardless after a proper bird inspection he found the berry to be totally fine and happily pecked and ate the berry.
Lovecraft glared at the Fletchling, his tentacles curling and uncurling. He was prepared to launch himself at the other pokemon.
Rose on the other hand was much more calm. This Fletchling seemed to be quite friendly, and she thought that he would more then likely join up without a fight “You are quite the talented singer dear, how would you like to come with us?” she asks pleasantly.
Lovecraft, though in the end he respects rose’s judgment, gives her a look that can only be described as are you fuckin srs right now. She wants this untalented little bird to join up with them? Wow ok sure lets do that. He rolls his eyes and sighs through his beak.
The little Fletchling mused over Rose's offer while thoughtfully scratching his head in a very cute and birdlike fashion. On one hand she does seem to appreciate his talents, something that he finds not many people do (those uncultured swine), and there is the fact that she gave him a very tasty berry... But on the other hand he did like being a free spirit and traveling the world bringing his beautiful song and joy to others. But that was a very tasty berry...
Hahaha yeah right as if a berry and some flattery would be able to win a fletchling like him over! It didn't seem to bother him that it is pretty rude to just eat and run. You better stop him before he hops away for good!
Rose snaps her fingers, "Lovecraft, use constrict and stop him"
Finally, Lovecraft thinks to himself, as he floats after the fletchling and wraps a tentacle around its leg and pulls him backwards, throwing him to the ground. Lovecraft then rushes back after him and floats around him in a circle, ready to block off any which way he could go.
