Appearance: Like your average troll, black hair, grey skin, orange eyes, pointy teeth and orange/yellow horns. However unlike most troll Karkat’s horn are small and nubby which he ‘FUCKING HATES’ and he has a unique blood mutation that makes his blood colour bright red which he is ashamed of and hides from everyone. Karkat slimly built and stands a little shorter then most trolls at 5’4”. Karkat also has large bags under his eyes from lack of sleep due to ‘sleeping problems’ in other words a computer screen.
As for adventuring outfit it is relatively similar to his normal outfit expect for a black hooded long coat with grey trim, a large grey cancer sign on the back and small Knight of the Blood symbol on the front left side where a front pocket would be but this is covered with his bag strap. The bag in question is a black canvas massagers bag.
Biography: Karkat was born and raised in Snowpoint City by his crab lusus until it was killed in a router explosion (Karkat attempted to boast internet speeds through terrible hacking). After this Karkat spent most of his time trudging through the snow shouting at his laptop and defrosting LUMPSQUIRT from it’s own bubbles. Tired of this endless chilly wandering he decided to head to Kanto. He boarded a ship heading for Vermillion City. Unfortunately due to some clown issues on board the ship sank and Karkat was washed up on Cinnabar Island.
Personality: Karkat is usually grumpy and is prone to loud angry outbursts. To a person that doesn’t know him he appears rude, angry, grumpy, crabby, etc, etc basically a complete asshole (Though to be honest his closest friends still think that). His outbursts consist of a whole range of insults with heavy uses the word ‘fuck’.
Despite flying completely off the handle at people Karkat has a very low tolerance to insults directed at him and will almost always go into a massive shouty outburst in retaliation. He has little fear in saying want whatever the fuck he likes so a lot of insults are usually thrown his way. Whole libraries of books could be filled out by his rants and then probably burned due to the sheer amount of vulgar language. All of this is very off putting for most people which causes Karkat to drive a lot of people away.
However underneath his grumpy and rude appearance Karkat deeply cares about his friends and worries about them a lot. This is usually seen when people actually listen to what he saying during his shouty outbursts or when he stops shouting and talks normally (which is a rare and beautiful moment but mostly rare). He find very difficult to admit his feeling outright and in the rare times he does it’s with very close friends. A lot of his shouty outbursts are a lot to do with the fact that despite his confident appearance he dislikes himself a lot due to the shame of his blood colour and he doesn’t not want to appear weak to other trolls, as he is not as bloodthirsty compared to most trolls. If anything Karkat is more human then a troll in that respect.
Karkat is not really a troll of action and likes to follow a plan especially if it’s his. If there is no plan he either tries to think of one or just stands around complaining. Because of his love for plans Karkat thinks of himself as a born leader and likes to tell people constantly that he is. Even though he is very big headed when talking about leadership Karkat does have the ability to hold together a group of people that would normally hate/possibly kill each other and he can make them grudgly follow his directions/plans to a degree. When he doesn’t get his own way Karkat usually shouts opposes into submission. When he isn’t in charge Karkat will follow the rest of the group but will constantly bitch and moan about it.
Karkat main passion consists of romantic novels, films and rom-coms both Troll and Human. He is happy to give out romantic advice and listens to other people’s romance troubles, despite having very little success in the field himself. He also has a small passion for computer coding and hacking. He likes to think he’s good at it though he knows that he can only really do some basic coding. He also enjoys writing memos but theses usually end in massive arguments with his future and past selves, any other responders will either get sucked into these arguments or more usually just get the fuck out of there.
Goal: Karkat want to become a powerful trainer so he can take on anyone who challenges him. But his real dream in to become a Pokémon researcher and help understand and improve life for all Pokémon (though he wouldn’t tell anyone that).
