Name: Terezi Pyrope

Appearance: Terezi is around average height, about 5'5". She is rather thin and in shape, since she's often quite active, whether out and about or at home. Her hair is rather well-kept, never allowed to reach shoulder length, always a smooth, clean black with a faint minty smell.
Her eyes, behind her red glasses, are a pure, blind, red - a long story behind those. Her teeth are pearly-white and sharplike, often displayed as part of a devious grin or when she bursts into hearty laughter.
She doesn't care too much for makeup and her strong blindness attribute makes applying it rather difficult, so her facial features remain natural and unmarked.
Being blind, she doesn't care particularly much beyond keeping things comfortable and semi good-looking. Her favourite colours are teal and red and this is reflected in the clothes she wears - other than her black T-shirt (With symbol) and black trousers, she wears a red cap with a teal peak, teal jacket, red fingerless gloves and red shoes with teal laces.
Occasionally she wears an orange cape with a hood shaped like a charizard's head, because she thinks it's goddamn adorable.
Aside all this she is in constant possession of her cane, which is coloured white with reflective red.
Biography: Terezi was always enthusiastic about chasing down her first Pokemon, to the point of being rather competitive. She wanted it to be something special, something unique - though this seemed rather childish to some, it was actually a lot deeper. Why catch the first Pokemon you see just for the sake of having one? She wanted something that reflected her and would be a suitable companion for the whole of her career as a trainer. Because she was going to be a trainer. She'd known that from the very start, from watching people battle it out again and again. She was determined to be one of the strongest.
She was friends with one Vriska Serket for some time; the two of them would play and adventure together and were quite the team even before they caught their first Pokemon. It was always a rivalry and they would laugh and run around for hours, all the while trying to one-up each other and bragging about the awesome things they'd see and do and the rare Pokemon they'd catch.
Things, however, started to turn south around the time they caught their first pokemon. Terezi's story for this was as unique as she had hoped it to be... though also dark and bitter. Her life took a very nasty turn that day; she lost one friend and gained a companion – and an enemy. After a nasty fight with Vriska that left them both injured and upset, she had stumbled away, lost in the woods at night with no idea how to get home. At that point, she had heard a faint, unusual cracking sound. Searching for its source, she came across a lone Pokemon egg laying next to a small lake hidden away in the woods. Awestruck, she took it into her arms, hugging it close to her in her low emotional state – only for Dratini to hatch there and then.
Now her and Vriska were both starting their careers as Pokemon trainers, things between them just turned more and more sour. The fights between them became more common and more vicious, tearing into each other with increasing hatred. Eventually things got so out of hand that not just their Pokemon were suffering the consequences; they were coming out of each battle with increasingly worsening injuries and nothing anyone could say or do would stop them going for each other's necks again.
It all ended in tears, sure enough. It was through these events that Terezi lost her sight from a fight that crossed the line. Now that she was permanently maimed, they both had to agree to stop it right there, lest things go even further.
Thankfully for her, Dratini, whom she nicknamed 'Tomaric' (Toh-MAH-Rikk, from draconic, toma, 'sight', ricin, 'mind') was intelligent enough and close enough to her to act as her guide. She gradually realised her own ability to “See” the world in a different manner, through taste and touch and smell. What she sees in her mind's eye is something that only she could ever know, though while she may miss out on what is right before her eyes, she often picks up on things that the majority would never notice. She began to talk of how the world “Stinks with corruption”, that she can read between the lines and that something there is fundamentally wrong.
Growing from being purely power-seeking to what she hopes will be a guiding light in the darker world she sees, she sets off into the world to bring justice to an otherwise lawless universe.
Personality: Two words to describe Terezi would be “Enthusiastic” and “Outgoing”. Never one to be idle, she divides her time well between work and play, all the while spending time and growing with Tomaric, always by her side. She is good at making friends, though they are put at constant risk of being swept away to unknown waters and impromptu adventures. She genuinely looks out for her friends, trying her best not to let them get into bother from their shared escapades.
She has a very “Unique” sense of humour, which ranges from teasing to semi-harmful pranks, though she never actually brings harm to her friends (Beyond a playful smack with her cane from time to time). She has a tendency to ignore personal boundaries and can often get in people's faces – social etiquette is just rather meaningless to her.
She has a strong sense of justice, though not necessarily by the law. She goes by her own morals which are still undeveloped and subject to change. This can lead to a very twisted form of “justice” but she overall means well for society and genuinely wants to make it a somewhat better, or at least fairer place.
Goal: Terezi still wants to become a stronger trainer – but no longer just for the sake of being powerful. She wants to build up a team of strong, well-trained Pokemon that she can trust. What with her realisation that all is not quite right with the world, she wants to be capable of righting wrongs wherever she finds them, solving the injustices of the world and purifying the corruption that she can smell everywhere. Society has been dirtied and she wants to clean it up.
