Main Character (Kid) Application
Name: Rose Lalonde
Starter Pokémon: Tirtouga, obtained after a mix-up concerning her drunken mother and a simple wish.
Hometown: Nearby Viridian, close to the woodlands.
Appearance:Extra: There is a skull in her headband.
Biography: Rose had lived with her mother her entire life, though no matter what she refuses to let anyone believe she enjoyed it. She grew up near the sparsely-populated town of Viridian without the company of other kids, so she would stay in her room and quarrel with her mother. A computer, thread and needles, and books full of mythical Pokemon and secretive fanfictions made up the majority of her life up until she was almost ten. She was always partial toward water-types, and read up most about mythical water-types such as Kyogre. Her relationship with her mother had always been strained, though loving, as shown through her started Tirtouga, which she had obtained whilst believing it was a rare Squirtle.
Personality: Rose first comes off as cold and calculating, and while she is not quick to open up, she is not antisocial or shy, either. When asked, she gives an answer, and depending on how much she knows on the subject, she shares as much knowledge as she can provide. Whether or not it's useful, on the other hand, is debatable. She prefers not to handle everything seriously, unless it affects her or her pokemon's immediate well-being. She is known for being a bit wordy and "out there" with her knowledge however, and snarks more often than she means to. She sometimes has a tendancy to act passive-aggressively toward people as a result of her passive-aggressive wars with her drunken mother. Rose means well, however, and though she does sometimes seem distant, she is constantly looking for ways to improve her team and protect her closest friends.
Rose has a few interests that she invests herself in, the most prominent of which being her interest in mythology and creatures that supposedly do not exist. She has stockpiled several books that describe what each legendary has done and their capabilities, and she hopes that one day she could discover these beasts of lore. She is quite capable in knitting, and most of her clothing is made of her blood, sweat, and hard work. Rose also writes many tales in her notebook, but no one is allowed to see. No one is ever allowed to see.
Goal: Rose's ultimate goal is split between the eventual Contest in Saffron and the scattered Gym badges amongst the region. As such, she looks for Pokemon that will give her a balance of strength and beauty. She also sees others, especially her long-lost sister, as major rivals to her goals, so she wishes to rise above her competition at all costs.
