hmmm, i guess i'm supposed to talk about myself here? shit, i'm not sure what there is to say. i don't think i'm a very interesting person, heh. well, my name is john egbert. i grew up in pallet town and i've lived here all my life, it's a quiet place and not much ever happens here, but i like it. it has charm! karkat doesn't seem to agree, though. there aren't all that many people living here, so most of my friends are friends i've made on the internet! we're all going to be heading out on our journeys together though, so i'll get to see a lot more of them, hopefully.

i don't really have a super-cool goal for my adventure, like catching them all or being the number one trainer, or the greatest pokemon hero of all time. i just want to have fun with my friends, and hopefully make some new ones, too!

my hobbies include amazing movies, playing piano, ghost pokémon, and programming!

dave: dave is my best bro, even though we’ve only ever talked over the internet. i don’t really think he’s anywhere near as cool as he pretends he is, but he’s a really important friend and i admire him a lot. (not that i’d ever tell him this, heh.)

rose: rose is another really close friend of mine, and she’s also dave’s cousin! rose is really smart and funny (though i don’t always understand everything she says), and sometimes i wonder why she puts up with somebody as silly as me.

jade: me and jade have been pals for a while, she was the first friend i ever made on the internet! really, i owe being friends with dave and rose to her. sometimes we joke that we were separated at birth, because we're so alike.

jake: i know jake through jade and i have to say, he’s pretty cool too. and that’s not just because he likes all my amazing movies, he's also a really good guy. it'd be cool getting to know him better.

jane: our fathers are twins, so jane is my cousin. we talk quite a lot and we're good friends. she shares my enthusiasm for ghosts and pranksterism, which is pretty sweet. but she's really into crockercorp, which is the one thing we totally disagree on!

roxy: rose's sister! i have her to thank for enlightening me about the batterwitch and her SINISTER PLOT. we are pretty tight, it is a shame we never seem to cross paths.

dirk: dave's brother! i've not talked to him too much, either. he seems pretty lame!

karkat: we’re next door neighbors! me and karkat go waaay back, we’ve basically been buddies since we were children. (he likes to say we’re not, but i’m pretty sure that’s just his way of showing affection.)

vriska: oh man, vriska is awesome. she is one of the only people i know who actually appreciates nicholas cage moves, and our conversations are always really good fun. (though i think i really piss her off at times. haha, whoops!)

gamzee: seems nice enough, though he reminds me of clowns. sheesh, i get enough of that bullshit at home. jane trusts him, but she has a HISTORY of being close to the wrong sorts (batterwitch batterwitch batterwitch)so i will keep an eye on him.
