Contest Judge (Exile) Application
Name: His real name is Wallace Vaughan, but everyone just calls him "The Mayor". Close friends call him "Wally".
Day Job: He's the Mayor of Saffron City. And a hobo.
Party:Serenity the Illumise, of course! She's constantly exasperated with the Mayor, but very loyal to him and always willing to help out.
Appearance:
Biography: Originating from Hoenn and once a commander in Team Magma, Wallace was a leading part of the resistance against The Condesce. However, when they failed he was forced to go into hiding abroad and took a ship to Kanto. He had no money or goods, and ended up becoming a wanderer dressed in rags. Eventually he settled in Saffron City, and became the town hobo.
However, for a homeless guy he was weirdly likable, and quickly became something of a town mascot. Some kids made him a rather shitty "mayor" sash, and the townspeople began joking that he should actually run for mayor. Hilariously, he did. And he got elected! Democracy at its finest. He was something of a joke candidate everyone voted for out of contempt for the other people running. Judging contests is part of his mayoral duty. He still doesn't technically have a home, but Saffron's citizens offer him refuge generally, or he sleeps in his office.
Personality: Wally's pretty clueless. He struggles with social norms, and can swing between sounding formal to the point of it being comical, to outright rude. He's goofy to the extreme, and spends a lot of time on somewhat ridiculous hobbies, collecting junk like cans and making weird incomprehensible stuff with it.
However, he has a heart of gold! He will always stand up for what he believes in, and believes firmly in the power of the people. Wally is actually a surprisingly competent Mayor (lateness for everything aside), relying on the wishes of the majority rather than just doing what benefits him. He is also hugely charismatic and likable, and can get thousands of people to support him.
