Gamzee: Make your first gym challenge!

YEAH! You heard right! Gamzee had actually managed to remember what he was doing in Viridian, and that was the same thing that lots of people went there for: a gym challenge. Unfortunately for him, Gamzee hadn't quite done the research on that subject. He'd set out on his pokemon journey for fun, not for seriousness. He'd never had a particular goal in mind when he left his cozy hive in Lavender. He just wanted to go out with his pokemon and do pokemon things. And, as such, he hadn't bothered to read any of the pamphlets or handouts that he'd received when he'd gotten his trainer's license. You know. The ones that tell you to start at Pewter and go from there. The ones that give you an idea of the level and types of the gyms.

The ones that tell you what a stupid-ass idea it is to challenge the Viridian gym leader with an almost completely untrained level-five shuppet.

OH WELL.

Gamzee wears a big, optimistic grin on his face as he opens the door to the gym, completely ignoring the fair warning signs that state, hey, you with the lame team, turn back now. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. They probably just say something about water types. But nevertheless, these signs are completely and utterly ignored. Another thing being completely ignored were the panicked chirps of one Buddy Rich. The poor shuppet could just sense how bad of an idea this was, picking up on the scent of very strong pokemon ahead.

"Aw, come on lil-man, ain't nothing wrong with a little pokemon battling. Get some motherfuckin' confidence up in this bitch," Gamzee assures the pokemon, probably believing him to just be nervous about his first battle. Although he might have said the same thing regardless, given his endless optimism.

He enters the main part of the gym, walking cheerily along the edge of the pool until he sees a figure getting out. He grins, walk turning into a slight dash because clearly he hasn't read the 'Please do not run near the pool' signs.

"Hey! Lady! Pink lady! He-" his ridiculous attempts to get her attention are cut off as he trips over something, diving facefirst into a horrifying black mass of eldritch abomination I mean hair. He honks on impact, flailing a bit in slight panic, which honestly just gets him tangled up worse. The poor shuppet floats by, watching in both horror and disappointment at the ridiculous incident.

This is totally serious.

Ah, an early morning swim is just what the Queen ordered. Cliona had just returned from a "business trip" to Hoenn, which really wasn't much besides culling a few incompetent losers and getting reports of how the sea was expanding over the region, and was now making up lost time with her beloved water pokemon. However now she remembered that she had hardly eaten anything since her return, and as such she resurfaced from the bottom of the deep pool.

After she wrung out her hair a bit, she slipped on her shoes and headed down the hall to her lounge, only to have her thoughts interupted by a cry and a thud. She blinked and turned around whe she heard the honk and made a face.

"What the glubbing fuck are you doing." She retorted, grabbing the wriggler by the back of his shirt and hoisting him out of her hair. Great, now he got it all tangled up. Giving him a stern look, she tugged her hair off of him, and almost dropped him when she saw his face.



"Janavi? Wait, no, you're not him." She 'tsk-ed' and once all her hair was removed, dropped him. "Why are you here. You're obviously not here for a job." She crossed her arms and tapped her foot on the cold pink tiles. This boy was obviously in over his head, judging by that Shuppet beside him.

Either he was incredibly overconfident, or incredibly oblivious. Regardless, if he was here for a battle, she'd crush him like all the overconfident new trainers she had to handle every few months or so.
