And with that, Rufioh exits Route 11 - a short route, but an eventful one. He thinks it best to put that event behind him. He's managed to calm his Pokémon down - which, mostly took care of itself after Timberbull let off steam.
"You okay there Timber?" The Bouffalant grunts, feeling much better after giving a certain r00d someone, a piece of his mind. Starting to mellow out toward relaxed again. "Hey look... This is the east coast of Kanto!" Rufioh announces, looking out at the sea laid out before them. Route 12 is littered with boardwalk bridges all along this stretch of coastline.
"Feels weird to get off a boat... hang a right... and just run into ocean again." The two start onto the bridge from the west entrance. "...Hey, watch your hooves on this boardwalk, ok? Don't need you getting stuck between the boards... That'd suck..." Rufioh guesses he could just return Timber to his Pokéball if that happens. Pokéball teleportation is kinda handy for some situations. ... Oh. D'oh. He could have used that technique back on Route 11, couldn't he? Hindsight... 20/20.
In a shocking twist nobody could have possibly seen coming, there is a large Pokemon dozing in the center of the narrow pathway, blocking off the route ahead altogether.
A Snorlax.
Snorlax had had a long day. He'd woken just after midday, eaten practically a forest's worth of berries, and walked a whole hundred yards. Now it was mid-afternoon, and he was going to bed. Well, going to the intersection between Routes 12 and 11. Because hey, nothing like taking a nap in the most inconvenient place possible for travelling trainers.
Not that Snorlax was capable of that kind of thought process. The burdens of a poor human kid were of no concern to him. He just wanted a comfy place to sleep. And comfy it was! He fit so snugly between the fences around the path, one would almost think the spot was built for him.
Though it could use a cushion or two.
Looks like Snorlax isn't moving any time soon! Waking him up could be tricky, and he'll definitely be angry when he does wake a Snorlax hates having its sleep interrupted! This one does, anyhow.

Tavros moved along with his newfound (well, grubhood, but found friend nonetheless) Aradia, escaping the boundaries of his homeland, Lavender Town. This was a big step for the troll, as leaving his hive wasn’t exactly something he did very often. It was a nice change for him.
“Wow, the air over here is, um, pretty clear don’t you think, Aradia?” Tavros uttered in a small voice, Stuffy’s pokéball sitting enlarged on his exposed lap as a sense of security. He needed to get those butterflies out of his stomach, it wasn’t exactly a feeling he was comfortable with. He just wanted to feel a bit braver, but at the moment calming himself wasn’t really working.
Squinting his eyes due to the bright sunlight, he saw a large pale lump in the distance? What exactly was that thing? “Hey Aradia, what’s that?” Tavros asked, lifting his arm to point at the large object/thing that they were slowly approaching.
"Wow! It really is bright!" Aradia agreed as she brushed her long hair back over her shoulder. Taking a deep breath she could feel the fresh air fill her, causing her to exhale it rather slowly, enjoying the feeling of it. Looking to Tavros she noticed the pokeballs in his lap and smiled as she hurried in front of him before stopping and looking back to her Litwick. Realizing the fact that she forgot that the little Litwick hated the water. "Oh! Sorry little guy!" She exclaimed and returned the candle pokemon to the pokeball before turning her attention to what Tavros was referring to.
"Wow that's a big roadblock." She says and takes a few steps towards the pokemon. "Good question Tav, maybe it's a pokemon? I remember hearing about a really big one while browsing the books in my hive."
"...Well uh... That's not what you come across every day. Although, I guess it could be... I don't really know the region yet, after all..."
Rufioh studies the large lump of Pokémon in front of him, a hand lifting to consult his chin. Timber sizes up the bulky 'mon as well. He might be bigger, but nearly as physically fit. Timber bets he could take him. Not that he's being much of a threat at the moment.
Something meets the corner of Rufioh's eye, barely visible past the large torso obscuring his path. Looks like a couple other lowbloods around his age. Hey, one of them is...!
With a few flaps of his generous brown wings, Rufioh is airbourne, floating over the waters and lifting a hand in greeting to the other two trolls. "Hey, doll... Hey bronzeblood bro." It's pretty cool, meeting another of his caste. Look, they even have the same horns! It has Rufioh smiling despite the obstacle they're both faced with.
"You two looking to cross too, huh...? I was coming in from Vermilion City there, and got stuck on the other side of this big guy..." Rufioh shifts to the side in midair, looking over his shoulder and pointing out the Bouffalant on the west end of the same boardwalk. "I could always just fly around, I guess... Timberbull isn't so lucky, though. And I guess neither are you guys..." He offers a harmless shrug, and his assistance. "So I guess what I'm asking here... Do you wanna brainstorm how to wake up the big guy? Or at least move him..."
Timber peeks over the way diagonally, at the trolls his trainer decided to go meet. Meanwhile he's stuck on this end, unless he returns to his Pokéball. Turning his attention to the Snorlax again, he pushes his head against it and nudges its massive side with his horns.
Hovering above the water just beyond the edge of the boardwalk Aradia and Tavros stand on, Rufioh makes himself as accessible as possible without outright landing on their side. "Name's Rufioh Nitram... You can call me whatever you like, for short..."
