Welcome to the exciting world of POKEMON, Dave. There's a plethora of creatures here which people use for multiple purposes. Myself? I'm an abstract narrative notion here to advance the plot.

Really this format is a tiring method to use so let's turn our sights on a young boy who's about to embark from his hometown, Pallet Town, Pewter City! An interest in following the cliche route of battling the gyms from start to finish hadn't actually been what spurned Dave to choose this as his starting town. It was mostly the fossil exhibit that Pewter City was famous for....And which Dave Strider had blown all his cha-ching ching on.

Young breeder [not talking pokemon] taking the moment to re-assess his goals before he made his trek into Pewer City gym. Fire-type. Water-Pokemon. Perfect-fucking-fit in my opinion. But the problem here was he had an aquatic pokemon; an urchin of the deepsea who was incapable of even spewing bubbles. "Note to self. Next time invest in a pokemon with a mouth." But he could pull this off. His fantastic brain had already formulated the best route for dealing with his issues.

All he had to do was go down this path and scare up a few wild pokemon to train on. Or a few trainers who wanted to brawl with his walking Happy Holiday's Star [for the sake of treating all winter holiday's equally.]. And after a few scrabbles he would be taring through the Pewter City gym. Strider adjusting his shades and beginning his trek down the route and out the safety of Pewter city. Pokeball in hand. [/center]

[Wild Pokemon]

A few meters away, a young Whismur is strolling amongst the bushes. He hums softly to himself, content with his recent victory against a Joltik. As it turns out, Pound is pretty effective when your hand is as big as the creature you’re crushing.

Footstep sounds come from the direction of the street. Whismur raises his ears up over the bushes to listen. Hmm… the pacing suggests a human. Does he have the strength to take on a trainer? Yes, he tells himself. Yes he totally does. If you can take on a bug, you can take on the world.


He waits for the human to come nearer. Just as he is about to pass by, Whismur storms out of the bushes with a shrill battle cry!

Wait. That's not Jupiter. Dave ceased what was most certainly not cowering, staring down the little screamer. Christ this was like dealing with Bro's ex-girlfriend all over again. But needless to say.....There was something he had to do now. Collecting his weapons and preparing for battle.......

Strider pumps the stereo to max volume and lets the lyrics of a hardy love song BLAST through the air in extremely close range in order to destroy his opponent's sense of logic.

I mean come on. This thing didn't exactly scream deadly. So Dave followed the Strider motto and saw to give the thing it's few moments of fame by giving it an epic battle that would set it's heart a-beating like a drunken step-dad in Alabama.

[Wild Pokemon]

Agh no why is he blasting that music?! Startled, Whismur jumps back into the bushes. This was a bad idea. Bad idea, HORRENDOUS idea.

Now that he isn't in dangerously close proximity to the noise, he listens closely to the music... Whismur can't understand the words, but he is absolutely certain that this is a human fighting song. They must play it before challenging one another for territory.

He can't just run away from that sort of challenge. No, he has to show his power. He bursts through the bushes again, takes the deepest breath he's ever taken, and starts an Uproar that will surely go down in history. Other Pokemon in the immediate vicinity become agitated and begin screaming as well.

"Haha....Got a set of lungs on you there, don't you?" Christ it was a good thing he was already nearly deaf from his normal music or else this could have been a more devastating attack. One hand sliding into his back to grab at his headphones. Noise isolating, bitch. Striders spare no expense for the sake of music. Even if that expense is in fact college funds. It wasn't like anyone even went to college in this world. They just learned it all out in the field.

Finger sliding across the side of his waist and grabbing a pokeball. Pressing the button to enlarge it to a quality hand-held bludgeoning device. And like he's a fucking pro-baseball player, he goes for the hoop and drags his hand back, back.....And WHOOOSH! The ball is sent flying....Flying into the grass behind Whimsur because Dave apparently has the aim of a blind Asian woman. "How HIGH do you even have to be to throw like that....." Dave's turn has passed uneventfully. Pokeball consumed in the deep grass.

Whismur wanted to laugh at the trainer's pathetic attempt at a throw, but he was too busy attempting to scream harder. Once one starts an Uproar, it's hard to stop.

He unfurled his ears to breathe through his ear canals. He would need the extra breath if he wanted to keep this up.

And it looked like everything in the area was starting to get pretty antsy because of the little loud mouthed pokemon. That thing might actually end up attracting something worse than well....It if it kept up that talk. Though Dave hadn't heard of anything in the nearby area that could actually qualified as dangerous. Wincing everytime Wimsur exhaled and let out another breath. Another screech that was actually still audible even behind the noise-isolating headphones.

"Tackle." BOOSH! Out from the deep grass comes Staryu; showing that his earlier toss had merely been a ploy to make it drop his/her guard. Star shaped creature rushing at top speed from behind. Gem glowing brightly as it went to make things real intimate with the small purple beast. Dave preparing himself with a pokeball and waiting for the right moment. Really like this would be a long fight. They both knew about two techniques.

[Wild Pokemon]

Staryu's limb digs into Whismur's back, causing him to shut up and tumble over pitifully. That scoundrel! He'd show that Staryu who's boss!

Whismur got up, huffed, and jumped at Staryu with a Pound. He was too caught up in rage to notice the Pokeball the trainer was readying.

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! [/color] But of course someone like Dave would never be able to understand the radio waves that emanate from his pokemon. The figure taking a moment to recoil from the impact of the fist. From straightening out as it prepared to continue its assault and to recover from the damage it had taken. This was a non-stop slug fest and it didn't look like Staryu was about to back down. BEEP. [SUFFER.] TWHACK. It was already gathering speed and preparing to over-take Whimsur with another tackle. The pathetic lesser being should recognize its place beneath those who ascended from the stars.

[Wild Pokemon]

Whismur takes a deep breath, not to attack but to focus. He tries to meet Staryu's limb with a Pound this time, but is quickly taken aback.

Whatever this... star-shaped thing is, it's certainly not a Pokemon. Its attacks seemed downright brutal, like a robot's.

His arm too tired to use Pound, Whismur starts screaming again in a last ditch effort to defend his territory. There's no way he's going to let some human boy urinate all over his hard-earned land!

Dave honestly couldn't deal with watching this any longer than necessary. I mean there was one thing about fighting a pokemon but then there was just unnecessarily brutal with a pokemon.

Staryu pauses as the ball actually flies true this time......Giving one last reception toward Whimsur. It would be seeing him again. It would be seeing him very soon....And then it would establish the order amongst the two.

[Wild Pokemon]

The Pokeball flies straight into Whismur's open mouth! He scrambles around and panics... until he remembers that he can breathe through his ears. Whismur inhales and sends a burst of sound through his esophagus, coughing up the foreign object. Unfortunately, the Pokeball clicks open on the ground and sucks him up in a red light.
