After waking up early before the sun even came out, Dave had packed everything he wanted to take with him. He grabbed his backpack and stuffed it full of whatever the hell he decided to grab, and things he might need or just felt like taking with him. He took all the money he had been saving up, plus the money he found laying out for him on the table in the kitchen. He grabbed Seppukrow's pokeball and a slice of pizza left over from last night for breakfast, and he was out the door.
After a an hour or two riding a bus, he was in line waiting to board the ship to Kanto. Truthfully, Dave couldn't be more excited to being finally getting out of his apartment for one of the first times since he went to elementary school for a week. Mind him, it wasn't his fault he got kicked out. Another story for another time though.
Dave moved towards the front of the ship, pulling out his pokemon's ball, releasing the small bird. Seppukrow took this opportunity to spread his wings, flying up to glide with a few on the wingulls flying above the ship. Dave watched his pokemon for a while, eventually turning to look forward towards the ocean, leaning forward onto the railing on the edge of the ship.
After a few hours, the boat was finally pulling into port around mid-day in Kanto, and Dave was waking up from his spot on a bench. Seppukrow was nested happily beside him in sleep. Dave stretched his legs and picked up his Pokemon, quickly gathering himself and his things together. He filed off the ship with the rest of the passengers, stretching out his arms as his pokemon moved to perch on his shoulder. He tried his best to stop from cracking a smile at the thought of finally being here.
"Just like a home away from home. Albeit one filled with loud tourists..."
