Gym Leader/Elite Four (Ancestor) Application
Name: Merric Bolton is technically his name, though there are very few, trolls or otherwise, that know that. He typically prefers just being calledFa2hiionii2taPsiioniic, or Psii for short.
Position: Leader of Vermillion City's Pokemon Gym.
Type Speciality: Electriic types, naturally. However, Psii likes to do things a little differently in his gym- double battles are the order of the day, so new trainers would do well to come prepared for the occasion.
Badge:
If you beat his sorry yellow arse, you get this:
(We call this fabulous thing the Thunder Badge. It's shiny, it's official, and you know you want it.)
Biography: This doesn’t need too extensive, but write a brief outline of how they grew up, and what they’ve been doing with their lives up to this point. Maybe mention how they came to be a Gym Leader/E4?
Personality: This is the most important aspect of a character, so don’t be afraid to go to town on this section! Write about what type of person they are, their hobbies, what motivates them, what they like, what they hate, and so on. Feel free to talk about how they run their Gym, too.

Party:
Generally, if you challenge him within the confines of his gym, the Psiioniic will utilize the following Pokemon:
Gamma the Voltorb -- Lv. 24
Gamma has a dream. That dream involves blowing up in someone else's face after they've mistaken him for a Pokeball, though Psi refuses to indulge such dangerous, pointless extremism from his Pokemon. Instead, Gamma is likely the most surly Voltorb you'll ever encounter. He's cranky, shocks anything that moves, and overall, not a really pleasant Pokemon to be around. There's not much to say other than that.
Sonicboom | Charge | Spark | Rollout
Theta the Magnemite -- Lv. 24
For being a floating metal ball, Theta seems... surprisingly sane, at least when compared to the rest of the Psiioniic's Pokemon. He prefers to spend time in his Pokeball when not being used for battle, he follows orders to the best of his ability when in battle, and is otherwise perfectly bland in every single way.
... Other than the fact that he's oddly possessive of Psi. Theta is often seen lurking around behind his trainer while left to his own devices, shooting nasty glares and, when the Magnemite thinks it can get away with it, paralyzing shock waves at anyone who gets too close. He's got a jealous streak, though certain forces have kept him from acting upon it.
Psiioniic doesn't seem to have noticed this side of his Pokemon yet.
Metal Sound | Supersonic | Thunder Wave |Thundershock
Alpha the Plusle -- Lv. 26
A quiet and reserved little creature, Alpha doesn't typically show herself unless Psi needs her for battle, preferring to spend her time hanging off her trainer's back or keeping watch of him from afar. She's wary around strangers, and will often hide should they approach.
Disregarding her in the thick of battle because of her timid nature is probably the biggest mistake one can make. For such a small Pokemon, Alpha is surprisingly ruthless in battle, and lives up to her namestake in that she could very likely be considered the powerhouse of Psi's team. Whatever you do, approach with caution.
Spark | Quick Attack | Thunderbolt | Helping Hand
Beta the Minun -- Lv. 26
Picture a small child, about four or five maybe. Now that you've got that image in your head, give that child all the sugar he can eat and a kazoo. Then turn it into a Pokemon. This is probably the closest you'll get to defining Beta- his energy is boundless, as is his ability to irritate anything that gets in his way. Though Psi can keep a handle on him and his actions during battle, he's a bit too lax on him otherwise, unfortunately, permitting him to run free and wreck havoc throughout the gym. It is only within these confines the little Pokemon will operate, however; it's a rare thing that he'll leave the gym without Psi's awareness.
Eager and reckless as he can get, however, Beta is one heck of a support Pokemon. Oftentimes, his bravado is enough to distract challengers from the real threat on the field, leaving his teammates time to prepare themselves to sweep the field.
Spark | Thunder Wave | Helping Hand | Encore
Outside of the gym, however, he keeps one additional Pokemon, though you aren't likely to see it in battle:
Iota the Magnezone -- Lv. 74
Iota was Psi's first Pokemon in the history of five-ever. Though a patient and modest Pokemon by nature, he seems to have adapted many of his trainer's mannerisms and habits, which have lead to the misunderstanding that the two of them are exactly the same, more often than not.
Though neither of them are particularly affectionate by nature, there's nearly an unspoken agreement between them that one will be at the other's side until the bitter end. He's literally never in his Pokeball, and is usually seen floating alongside the Psiionic as he goes about his business, keeping him company.
