Rufioh stands just outside of Vermilion City, at the very westernmost edge of Route 11. Just kinda looking out over the area, and taking pause. He retrieves a Pokéball, a special one with ridiculous horns attached on either side. As he opens it, a rather large brown beast is released into reality.
"Hey Timber... So... You feeling ready?" Rufioh touches the Bouffalant's horn, sorta petting it.
Timberbull looks to his trainer, then to the landscape in front of them.
"We're in the mainland now... No more islands and treehouses for us..."
Timber snorts.
"Well, yeah... I know you were...never a fan of the treehouses, yourself..." Rufioh adds, considering the buffalo's point of view.
Timber seems satisfied with that.
They both walk down a small slope, toward a large expanse of greenery. A big clearing of tall grasses, essentially. "Looks like a pretty friendly place to start for a grazer like you, huh?" Rufioh notes, looking toward his 'mon.
The Bouffalant nods slowly, then looks over to the left, and indicates that direction with a tilt of his head.
"Wha? Naw, that's...Diglett Cave, it says. I'm not much for caves... Let's just look through the grass here. I'll try to find some...critters or something... You can just graze until something shows, ok?"
Timber lifts his brow and gives a tilting nod of his head. Yeah, solid deal.
They both wander into the tall grass, Timber dipping his head and munching on grass, while Rufioh shuffles through it, looking for Pokémon... Well, he's especially looking something ELSE, something special, but he knows that in all probability, he's not gonna find THAT creature right away in his journey. What're the chances of that.
