Nature: ‘Bold’, ‘Somewhat Vain’. Cubone, unlike its trainer, is a little too outgoing for Tavros’ sake. Cubone seems to be the one to make the decisions, like who he wants to battle, and why. Sometimes he will lash out, and attack a random Pokemon for doing the smallest of things.
Although pushy and self centered, Cubone cares a lot for his trainer, and will be as loyal as a servant is to a king.
Hometown: He was born and raised in the extremely small Lavender Town, which is in the Kanto Region.
Appearance: Tavros is five feet eight inches tall, which is a slightly tall height for his age. It isn’t too noticeable due to the fact that he is a paraplegic, which means that he is paralyzed from the waist down. He rides around in his trusty wheelchair, which makes a slight creaking noise. Even though it’s hard enough to get around, his large horns that protrude out of each side of his head kind of block his way through some narrow hallways and doors, so that can be quite a drag.
Tavros has black hair that is in a somewhat messy mow hawk (the rest of his hair is in a short shave; it’s not completely bald on the sides). His face is very young looking, and his eyes are usually relaxed, unless frightened or angry. Although his face is normally relaxed, he has a small grin on his face most of the time, showing that he is a fairly content kid, even though he has been through some tough times as a child.
Even though Tavros is a little tall for his age, his body is kind of lanky and skinny. People would probably refer to him as scrawny, but the boy describes himself to be ‘slightly flimsy’.
His adventure clothes basically consist of a t-shirt that is black, and it has a large Tauros symbol on the front. He also wears long black cargo pants, black sneakers, and has a green sack that he keeps all of his necessary supplies in.
Biography: Tavros has been living a quiet, slightly lonely life in Lavender Town. Although he didn’t have a lot of friends growing up, he grew up to be quite educated about battling and medicine. He lives with his mother, without any siblings. The only person who he had interacted with other than his father and some neighbors was a boy named Gamzee, who occasionally waltzed through the town.
He used to run away as a child a lot, wanting to adventure and to get away from the overprotectiveness of his father. But of course, his father caught up to him rather quickly.
When Tavros was a child, at the age of six, he fell off of the porch that led to his backyard that had a fifteen foot drop. When he was fooling around, he fell off, broke both his legs and shattered his spine. Because the injuries were so serious, he became paralyzed from the waist down. So since this happened, his father spoiled him, and was very overprotective in most ways. His dad wouldn’t let him do much at all until he pleaded to start his Pokemon journey. Once his father gave in, he was finally able to breath the fresh air without having limits to what, and what not he was able to do.
When he found his Cubone a year before his adventure started, he kept him hidden away from his dad and played with him when he was allowed outside of his house. But when his dad found out about Cubone, he was obviously furious with Tavros. But after a lot of arguing, his father finally gave in to letting Tavros keep his trusty Cubone.
Personality: Tavros is a young boy from Lavender Town. He is a sweet boy, and tends to do what people say, whenever people say it. He is easily manipulated, but he does wish he could make his own decisions, but sometimes he believes that it is impossible. He is very loyal to whatever friends he manages to make, to the point of even helping some of them out in whatever way he can.
Tavros also has a fondness for music, and likes to rap very, very terrible songs all by himself. He strives to someday have a rapping partner. Hell, he could even start the most awesomely terrible rap group the world has ever seen.
Tavros’ hero is Pupa Pan, and sometimes pretends to be him when he’s all alone.
Although meek and gullible, Tavros can’t really hate people. He can’t even hate people who have tormented him in the past, and pushed him around. The few people he has interacted with in the past have even noticed this, and most take it into battles.
Tavros is actually very good with Pokemon, and seems to be able to communicate with them and relate to them as well. That’s how he got through to his lonely Cubone, and befriended it. It’s because he can connect with wild Pokemon to make them trust him.
Goal: Tavros’ goal is to prove to his father that he doesn’t need to be pitied upon, and that he can take care of himself. He also wants to prove to others that he isn’t weak, and he wants to stop people from pushing him around all the time. He believes that becoming a part of the Pokemon League will prove this.
Although he has this goal in mind, he chooses to go with the flow, and take his time to become more educated about what he really wants to do, and the world that he lives in.
