Name: Jade Harley
Starter Pokémon: A Growlithe named Bequerel
Hometown: Cinnabar Island
Appearance: Jade has a rather petite build. She stands just around 5'3" and is rather thin and doesn't appear to have a whole lot of meat on her bones despite how often she roughhouses with her Pokémon. She spends a lot of time outside exploring on Cinnabar, so she has a bit of a tan.
Biography: Jade never really knew her parents, she lived her her grandfather and Becquerel all her life. Grandpa Harley raised her on fantastic stories of grand adventures throughout all the regions of the world, sparking an interest in adventure and competing in the Pokémon league from a very young age. While she and her grandfather live comfortably off of a gratuitous amount of winnings from his old days as world-traveling adventurer-trainer extraordinaire, Grandpa Harley makes sure that she doesn't get too used to the cushy life and gives her a fair share of things to do around the house and the island. One of the things she does around the house is care for the many plants in their garden. Though, over time it became a lot less of a chore and more of a hobby. She's also incredibly tech savvy from helping out at the Pokémon Lab from time to time. She's never left Cinnabar prior to starting her Pokémon journey.
Personality: Jade is a very upbeat and bubbly girl. She never misses the chance to make a new best friend or hug a super cute Pokémon! She is always willing to lend a helping hand and shows genuine concern for her friends and Pokémon, and will try whatever she can to get them out of trouble. She can be very resourceful and determined when in a tough spot, partly due to her high intellect. Her resourcefulness can fall short sometimes when she suddenly falls asleep at often inconvenient times. She can be a bit forgetful at times so she likes to wear color-coded reminders, but mostly for important things. Despite her cute airhead girl appearance, she isn’t all lollipops and rainbows. She can be a fierce fighter when she wants to be, and if you get on her bad side she has no problem with letting her politeness slip into a manner much more curt than her normal demeanor. In fact, you can say her temper is as fiery as her Pokémon. She enjoys gardening and can play the electric bass surprisingly well. Also, she really likes cute Pokémon of any type, but she is especially fond of cute fire, grass, and psychic typed Pokémon.
Goal: Her main goal is to travel all over the Pokémon world just like her Grandpa, but being a Pokémon champion would be a huge plus too!
