Main Character (Kid) Application
Name: John Egbert
Starter Pokémon: Casey, the shiny Charmander.
Hometown: Pallet Town
Appearance: John's fairly tall for a 14-year old kid, around 5'9. He looks like a pretty stereotypical skinny white nerd.

Biography: John's mother died when he was young. Something about an accident involving a Rhyhorn at Fuchsia Safari Zone. His Dad doesn't like to talk about it. As a result, John grew up with Dad being his sole guardian. But he had a pretty happy childhood! His Dad is an eccentric type who would prank him all the time as he grew up, by John likes to think it keeps him on his toes. Besides, pranksterism is a family tradition, as he understands it.
There is no school in Pallet Town, as it's so tiny, so John attended the Trainer School in Viridian City for most of his years. Walking down Route One was always something of a nightmare, but his Dad's Mr Mime would protect him on the way. The clown Pokemon always kind of freaked him out, though. He's led a pretty sheltered life, never really visiting a big city. That hasn't stopped him making a whole bunch of friends online, though.
Personality: Optimistic, excitable and friendly: John is a kid who almost always has a positive attitude towards things, and keeps a smile on his face. He can be a little goofy at times, which he often gets teased for, but he is more intelligent than he seems and is perfectly capable of teasing others in return. In fact, his own teasing can borderline on being a jerk at times. It's all in good fun, but John can be a little insensitive. He’s obnoxious at times, using very expressive, over-dramatic body language and having a rather loud voice.
He’s not completely naïve, but he tends to see the good in other people and can be a little too trusting at times. Regardless of people’s attitudes, he believes almost everyone is a good person deep down, and will usually happily offer his friendship towards them. John is a nice guy who cares very much for his friends and will do whatever it takes to protect them. Although that doesn’t mean he won’t still make fun of them relentlessly the whole time.
He has a variety of slightly dorky interests, such as terrible films that he often makes obscure references to. He’s also a big fan of the lore surrounding ghost Pokémon and tricks, whether they be practical jokes or magic tricks. Music is something he enjoys too; John plays the piano and sings frequently. His singing is horrible, though.
Goal: John doesn't have to be the greatest trainer of all time, or anything like that. He just wants to have fun, and make some friends along the way. And if he gets to save the world, just like in the movies, awesome!
