Gym Leader/Elite Four discussion

Right, so we were just discussing Gyms and we had a thought: who should be the 8th Gym Leader? In the games it goes:

Pewter (Signless)
Cerulean
Vermilion (Psiionic)
Celedon (Dolorosa)
Saffron
Fuchsia (Summoner)
Cinnebar Island (Redglare)
Viridian (Condesce)

E4 1
E4 2
E4 3 (Mindfang)
E4 4 (Handmaid)
Champion (Signless AGAIN OMG)

The question is, who should be the 8th Gym leader? We have 3 scenarios down.

1) The Condense, because she is the evil ruler and it seems fitting.
2) Spades Slick, because he is the leader of Team Rocket in this AU and it gives the closet match to the games.

Of course, if we don't use Spades Slick as a Gym Leader that raises the question of who should be the champion, since we won't have enough ancestors to fill up all the Elite four, and the 8 Gyms, and have a champion left over. So, options include:

1) The Signless is (secretly?) also the Champion and runs Pewter Gym to test new trainers.
2) The Condense is the Champion (but then who would fill in her space on the Gym Leader/Elite Four branch without Slick?)
3) Doc Scratch is the Champion.
4) Jane's Dad and John's Dad as joint twin Gym Leaders you have to double battle
5) Bec Noir as Champion, as a separate entity to mob boss Spades Slick (possibly as a clone of him?)

I'm pretty sure we all know my vote, but if Mindfang isn't 8th, she could also probably be Vermilion, 'cause that's a port town? But I think it'd make more sense for her to be the 8th because she'd also probably be pretty strong, so yeah. I don't think we'd need to be a lot like the games, 'cause sometimes it's more fun to mix it up.

Also, I love the idea of The Signless secretly being the E4 champion- maybe the Condesce could just be another member of the E4, but not the champion?

i'll just put what i think the differences between the three are here

this is ALL what I THINK, not whats strict canon

Spades Slick: has a short and quick temper, and looses his shit pretty easily and goes off on anyone and everyone. he doesn't talk much, but when he does its orders laced with anger, malice, and any kind of insult he can think up. despite being a raging ball of anger, he has moral standards and personal policies, and very very little will get him to change his point of view or opinion on something. he acts before he thinks most of the time

Jack Noir: will take as much time as he wants or needs to figure out a plan thats as fool proof as he can make it. he won't let anything stop him to get what or where he wants, and he doesn't care who or what gets killed or destroyed in his way. he gets angry and violent, but in a more passive kind of way. he can hold out his anger for a while before he looses his temper and his patience is worn out.

Bec Noir: he has a very calm demeanor, and is extremely calculating. he is very cold-hearted, with the extreme exception of jade, who he dares not harm at any cost. he will only take action when he is completely sure of himself and will not do things rashly or without thought. he feels little grief for others, again, with the exception of jade. he is very smart and watchful, but in instances can seem pretty empty minded.
on a very rare occasion he will go into a fit of rage

Personally I am of the opinion that we could have Spades and Bec (not sure why we'd need a plain old Jack, though) so long as the people playing them did keep their personalities sufficiently different and we had some sort of cloning plot going on?

Maybe we could have the guardians be Johto gym leaders or something. as for the champion I think it may be a better idea to have the ruthless bitch be champion while the signless is just like the best gym leader. If Noir is head of rocket though then either who ever the former champion was should be the Viridian gym leader or noir

anyone else thinking the whole mew/mewtwo thing for cloning jack/bec noir??? i think it would work. Jack tries to make a superhuman version of himself and it ends up in Bec noir?
And if bec was Champion, he could be like the man from the Celebi movie, with the pokeballs that turn the pokemon evil and ruthless.

Dave, I am all for the cloning thing too. I think it would be an interesting plot to play out.

As for Mindfang, the more I think about it, I think that maybe she could be the 3rd Elite 4 member?

Ok, the whole "cloning" thing for Slick/Bec could work, but there's one flaw.
Why would anyone want to clone Jack? The only "clone" that was created was Mewtwo, and that's going by the anime. In the games, there are journal entries in the Cinnabar Mansion that say that Mew gave birth to Mewtwo. (As she probably did every other species in the world. Poor baby.)

On the Jack cloning thing, I would think it was his own decision, seeing as he IS the head of Team Rocket, and can do 'basically' whatever he wants? I would think it would be trying to take his DNA and a pokemon's DNA, and meld the two into one being, believing they would be extremely powerful.

Well it doesnt really matter anymore to me at least. nevermind about jack bec or spades. it's useless to me to make bec if giovanni AND the champion is taken. i really dont see a point.

Also I only wanted to try and reach a decision because I've gotta get on with my Signless ap, I don't mind changing it.

Bringing this back up because I want to apply for the Condescension (which is misspelled as "Condense" in the first post, GIGGLE).

I think the Condesce being 8th gym leader is good, and Sufferer being secret E4 champ is awesome, but the Condesce needs to have some huge position of power for Suf to be like a revolutionist/etc., so maybe each region has some specific ruler?

In the Games it's usually been that the 8th gym leader basically has "president of the world" status from what I've INFERRED, and then the other gym leaders, elite 4, and the champ are like the senate / political minions, etc.

So maybe in this AU the 8th gym leader really IS the leader of the region, with power to make laws, start wars, etc.

Also, she should secretly be the head of Team Rocket because Giovanni, and maybe she used Team Rocket to actually gain control of the region and become the 8th gym leader / president in the first place?

I like the idea of her as Queen/Empress/Ruler of Kanto a LOT. Her being in charge of team rocket works, too. I like to think maybe Dualscar could tie in there? Like as a head Rocket admin, maybe. I dunno.

Ultimately if you apply for her what you do with her is entirely up to you (within reason), since we don't have any steadfast world rules. We don't want her having too much of a reign of terror though, I guess.
