Having arrived in Viridian City with relatively little trouble, Rose took a moment to consider her priorities. It was probably best to give the newly named Agamotto a check-up at the Pokemon Center to see if she was malnourished.
Walking calmly through the sliding glass doors, Rose saw a slightly bored-looking nurse at the front counter. When she got close enough to the counter to make it clear she wanted service, the nurse put on an obviously fake smile. "Hello, are you in need of assistance?"
"Yes. I just obtained this Tirtouga. She looks pretty malnourished. I want to make sure she's healthy." Agamotto's pokeball was handed over the counter.
"I see. Well, you'll have to take your Pokemon to a doctor in the back rooms if you want a manual inspection. I'll ring one up for you."
"Will do." Rose watched as the doctor took the Pokeball and then sat in a chair near the entrance to the back rooms. She took out her laptop to update her blog - Pokemon Centers always have public wi-fi.
When the doctor came back out, his uniform was slightly ripped in the shape of a bitemark. Urgh, she knew that was going to happen. Pokemon are so very predictable. At least people surprised her every now and then.
"Looks like your Tirtouga hasn't eaten in quite some time. She wasn't too happy. In the future, please take better care of your Pokemon. If you weren't so young, I would have that Pokemon confiscated."
"...Err." Sweet Arceus, how did it slip her mind that the doctor might think SHE was the negligent one? Right when she was thinking about how great she was at predicting people, too. Surely this was just a coincidentally-timed slip-up. "Did the nurse not tell you that my Tirtouga was found that way?"
"Don't play with me, young lady. I've had too many young trainers come in here because they forgot to feed their Pokemon." He nearly shoved the pokeball into Rose's hand.
Young lady? What was she, four? "I will not stand here and be falsely accused of a crime. Ask the nurse if you don't believe me."
However, the doctor was already going through the door to the back rooms, clearly ignoring her.
"Argh..." Rose just went back to her laptop to finish writing her blog entry. Someone wasn't going to get a very positive review online.
