All right, they'd finally made it to Viridian City! Travelling with Karkat, Terezi and Vriska had been the worst idea imaginable, of course. They didn't get along at all! They'd definitely been one of the last groups to arrive at the city (it was nightfall by the time they got there) and it was a miracle they'd not been killed on the way. Or killed each other.[/b][/blockquote] [/blockquote]
Casey had gathered some experience, but he had yet to catch any other Pokémon. This had to be remedied. John seriously wanted a Pidgey. He didn’t care how common they were, Pidgeys were totally sweet. Besides, they evolved into Pidgeot eventually and that was basically the coolest thing EVER.
So, after spending the night at the Pokémon center and getting Casey all nicely healed up, John decided to head out and explore the area. He wasn’t going back to route 1 again. No way. After all, he walked down that stupid route almost daily to get to the Pokémon School in Viridian City as a kid. Seriously, Pallet Town was tiny. What kind of town didn’t have a Pokémon school? But yeah, as a result he didn’t really feel like he needed to do some huge sweeping tour of the place.
Route 22 it was! John was dimly aware that the route was a dead end, but it was a place he’d not explored before. There were bound to be a whole bunch of interesting Pokémon there, right? Not to mention the gates to Victory Road were supposed to be pretty spectacular.
He flicked open pesterchum and typed up a memo as he left the city, going through the West exit.morning, guys! i hope you are all doing well. i’m totally in viridian city now and i am going to check out route 22 and hopefully try and catch something! if anyone wants to come meet up with me feel free, i guess? the company would be nice.
John was trying to sound casual, but he definitely hoped somebody would follow him there. After all, Pokémon journeys were all about friendship! He wasn’t going to stop saying that any time soon. Besides, the prospect of going on his own was a little… scary.
