Gosh, who would have ever thought that having a sea-dwelling Pokemon on land would be hard?
Feferi is figuring this out for herself firsthand, and nothing is as troublesome as the fact that if she ever does want to let Nomia stretch her fins, she quickly dehydrates and begins to make awful sounds of pain.
Feferi carries around bottles upon bottles of water, but dumping what you have to save your own fishy skin when it dries out on the back of your insatiable Pokemon isn't really prudent.
This really sort of sucks! Feferi sucks in her cheeks and muses to herself as she lays on the green grass, staring at the stars above her. She's made camp for the day, after departing from the huge meetup with her friends. She had really thought that they would all have traveled together, but with so many conflicting ideas it had made it much too hard!
So in the end, most had elected to head out on their own and get to know what it was like to be a traveler before joining up with everybody. Feferi hadn't really liked the notion herself, but it was no good to try to change the generally-accepted opinion that everyone had formed.
Feferi rolls over on her side and eyes her tent with distrust. She had never gone to any sort of camping class, nor had she ever set up a tent before. Suffice to say, it didn't actually look like it would be nice to sleep in (or stable for that matter).
At least the grass is comfortable! She can sleep outside for the night.
But one of the bushes nearest to her shittily-made tent begins to rustle, and she sits bolt upright. She has no idea what's there, but it can't be particularly good. Who knows what kind of Pokemon lurk around at night?
Or worse, what if it was a guy who wanted to kidnap Nomia? Honestly, the person was going to be disappointed -- Nomia isn't exactly a catch -- but Nomia was hers and she'd be damned if she let some creep take her away!
Feferi grabs her back in anticipation and tenses, waiting for the thing to come out of the bush.
