Her Imperious Condescension, sometimes known as Vivian - if you're bold enough to call her by her first name - can easily be described as a 'bluh bluh huge bitch'.

If she caught you saying that, however, you'd be dead before the week was over. In all reality, the Condesce is the ruler of Kanto region - think of her as a dictator or tyrant, but not like the usual ones you hear about. The special thing of the Condesce's iron fist is that most people don't even realize it's gripping their region. She lets all the other gyms and elite four run as usual, and gives the pretense that the region is run by the various gym leaders - however, most of the leaders and the elite four know the truth of the matter: The Condesce has been secretly ruling and monitoring the region for very long. She first came to her high-power position by creating and leading an army of drones and worshipping highbloods that she named Team Rocket. She used the army to take down the other gym leaders and took her seat as the 8th leader. Most trolls and humans alive at this time are not old enough to have lived or remember these crucial times, and Vivian carefully monitored histories being written so it wasn't mentioned. Over years, other trolls came to power and took seats in the other gyms - she rewarded a few of the higher ranked members of Team Rocket with positions on the Elite Four.

The Condescension is driven, ambitious, crude, brutal, and not governed by any set of ethics or morals. She believes that everything she thinks and says is law, and that anyone who stands against her deserves to be punished. Vivian is willing to murder, steal, lie, cheat, and anything else necessary to gain power, seize land, rule people, and destroy lives. She enjoys chaos, though only if she is the one causing it - if anyone else is causing chaos in her domain, they are fit to be culled, in her eyes.

The Condesce likes drama and violence, and encourages trolls to act out against each other and the humans with advertising and subliminal messages in media and other things shown to all of society. Vivian also encourages pokemon training for all young men and women, as she believes it breeds animosity and fighting spirit in her "minions". However, the Empress gets bored easily - especially sitting in her lake for years - and enjoys playing games. The games she likes to play are generally "cat and mouse" type games - even though she believes she will always catch the mouse no matter what, sometimes she will let the mouse run free a bit and let him think he can win. This is exactly what she is currently doing with the Sufferer - though the whole thing spiraled somewhat out of control when he became the Champion, not that Vivian will ever admit she might lose her game this time. After all, it is her game.

Vivian enjoys brutalizing and torturing others - especially lowbloods and humans. Vivian has a history (not that it is documented) for forcing lowbloods with powers in slave positions for her - Psionics helmed her ships, those with power over rock dug her underground lake, and those with mind control powers are usually forced to be her personal servants, though some have slipped through her fingers in the past. She forced one particular yellowblood with strong powers to helm her own personally ship - the S.S. Tyrian. No one really knows what happened to him on the ship, but when he finally escaped, he became a gym leader. Some say the Condesce was in love with him, but the truth of the matter was that she just enjoyed "playing" her game with him, and eventually let him go and allowed him to become a gym leader to keep their game going a little bit longer.

The Empress' gym is regarded with crippling fear by many young trainers, as it should be. The gym is in a medium-sized town near the Elite Four, called Viridan City. From the outside, the gym looks like a large building, nothing special but when you step inside it's as if you've been transported into a water-filled dungeon. The Condesce, long ago, forced lowblood slaves to dig and build an enormous underground lake under the city, and the only entrances to it are in her Gym, and a river that runs into the nearby ocean. There are many rumors about what exactly is down there, but none have been confirmed. Those who have made it down into the lake were either never seen again or ended up mentally insane and refuse to speak about anything other then cuttlefish.

Her Gym itself is quite the challenge - a trainer has to be able to dive for short periods of time, swim adeptly with their pokemon and be able to battle in and under the water. It gives seadwellers - the main types of trainers there - quite an advantage, and most humans or lowbloods have to get water pokemon to help them or it's almost impossible for them to actually get the Rising Badge. Vivian's Gym actually has a very low ratio of people who have beat her - those few humans and lowbloods that complete the challenge have complained thoroughly about misdeeds done to them in the process - their reports inolve things like attempted murder, sabotage, and tentacle rape. uncomfortable situations. These complaints have been quickly hushed up by some unknown means (the complainers disappeared and either never returned, or refused to speak of the gym when they did return. One of the most famous of lowblood trolls that seemed to make it through is the current Elite Four champion, and if anyone brings up his name around the Empress, she is instantly put into one of her "bad moods" - though her "bad moods" consist of much more frightening action then most other people's.

Tyra the Milotic
Fiercely independant and smart pokemon, does not always pay attention to commands. She is Condesce's most used pokemon, and standing side by side these too have some similarities - Their beauty, and their brutality being the main two.

Galshan the Gyarados
One of the Condesce's more terrifying pokemon, Galshan is unnaturally large, even for his type and his bite can sever a human in two. He also happens to be rather rambunctious, and fiercely loyal to Vivian.

Maim the Feraligatr
Much like Galshan, Maim is fiercely loyal to the Condesce and also shows some bravery - he will sometimes leave his pokeball on his own if one of the other pokemon on his team are low on health. He is very strong compared to other gyms, but compared to the Empress' other pokemon, he is the weakest of the six.

Iria the Sharpedo
Iria is one of the Condesce's favored pokemon, since she looks as fierce and mean as the Condesce actually is - Iria herself is naturally a sweet and rather shy pokemon, but when in battle with her trainer, she turns into a demon of the waves.

Dewry the Lapras
Calm and collected, this pokemon is intelligent, and though he follows directions well, if he thinks Vivian's commands are not strategic, he will carry out his own plan of attack. This is very dangerous to others, especially during a gym battle.

Gl'bgolyb the Tentacruel
Gl'bgolyb is a remarkable pokemon - he is about the size of Virdian City and usually lives in the underground lake that the Condesce created for him. He is the great unknown that causes anyone who ventures down into the lake other then the Condescension disappear. He's a practically unbeatable pokemon, and the Condesce never uses him for gym battles, or any battles really. He sometimes drifts from the lake to the Ocean via the river that was dug to connect the two areas. The Condesce is the only person who knows about his existence, and she keeps him a secret.
