// I've been wanted to apply for a while now but was too late when you guys first started! I noticed Roxy and Rose were open! I've RP'd both before, but I prefer Roxy so I'm applying for her! If I don't get her, I'll apply for Rose. I loveeee pokemon. //
• Character: Roxy Lalonde
• Profession: Trainer (Doesn't care as much for power, but since her other friends are so excited about their pokemon journey, she took an interest in going on an adventure with the rest of them and her life-long companion, Jaspers.)
• Starter Pokémon: Glameow (Nicknamed Jaspers)
• Hometown: Fuchsia City
• Brief description of personality:
Roxy is a pretty laid-back girl. She loves being with her friends and her best friend, Jaspers, is one of the most important things in her life. She doesn't have the best reputation in Lavender Town, or other towns she's visited, due to her varying levels of inebriation at different times of the day. Meaning, she drinks, a lot. The reason for this and for the fact that she loves attention from her faithful pokemon and friends is that her mother doesn't pay attention to her other. Part of her motivation to go on this journey was to get away from her home, where she is ignored and left alone. The other part was so that she could become a powerful trainer - not for the power itself, but so that her Mother would be proud of her.
Roxy loves games, as well - all of the games. Old ones, and new ones and this definitely effects her views of the world, especially when she's a little tipsy. She treats everything like it's a game and has a very chaotic battle style - she goes all-offensive all the time and barely ever lets her pokemon learn defensive or non-attacking moves. She doesn't pay attention to types and advantages and just has her pokemon charge into battle, leaving her opponent disoriented and confused. It usually works well for her but if she's against a level-headed trainer, she will encounter some difficulty.
One of her skills is with computers. She owns a lot of high-tech devices and likes to hack into her mother's or fellow townsfolk's pokemon boxes and switching things around. This doesn't help her reputation at all, but it does provide her with a nice source of income that doesn't come from her mother - Steal pokemon, wait for owner to offer reward for lost pokemon, return pokemon, take reward. Flawless plan. Except she'd been caught a few times, but it didn't matter since her Mother didn't do anything about it.
She keeps lots of potions and berries in her bag, though she is more likely to mix these with alcohol to make her famous martinis, rather then use them to heal her pokemon. She almost always has a glass in hand, only putting it down if she's very serious about something. It's become something of a token for her. She also rarely keeps her Jaspers inside his pokeball, allowing him to perch on her shoulder or run after her.
Over all, she's a friendly and rather kooky girl, and it's very rare to meet her when she's completely sober. Which is a good thing, because without the alcohol she would proper be a lot less cheery and energetic.
// Disclaimer: If I get accepted I'll make a different account for Roxy, hehe. //
