Character: Rose LaLonde
Profession: Coordinator
Rose finds the idea of knitting costumes for her Pokemon to use in contests appealing. However, this doesn't mean Rose won't battle. In fact, she thinks battles will be good for her Pokemon's health.
Starter Pokémon: Tirtouga
Mom obtained it from a scientist at an office (er, lab) party who wanted to woo her with a gift. Mom accepted the gift and then poured her drink on his head. She later gave it to Rose because, honestly, what is a classy travelling party scientist like Mrs. LaLonde going to do with a turtle? Pokemon aren't her area of expertise.
Hometown: A large home situated on Route 25, near Cerulean Cape. When asked, Rose says her hometown is Cerulean City for ease of reference. However, Rose's mother owns a beach house in Unova. This is where Rose and her mom spend their summers.
Description of personality: Rose is an introverted girl who rarely loses her cool, even when under pressure. She tends to show her anger in the form of passive aggression rather than overt aggression. Rose loves psychoanalysis, and as such has received straight As in Psychology class. That doesn't change the fact that she's only taken one Psychology course, though - She is by no means an expert. Rose's hobbies include knitting, reading, and creative writing. Her favorite books are the Grimoire for Summoning the Pokelogically Dubious and the DSM-IV.
