• Profession: Trainer
• Starter Pokémon: Krabby
• Hometown: He actually does live in Pallet Town, but finds it dreadfully boring and stifling and cannot wait to leave.
• Brief description of personality: The first and foremost thing about Karkat is that he is shamelessly cantankerous, and will not hesitate to verbally rip someone to shreds, if possible, or engage them in a pokemon battle. He’s a little impulsive, because he is never cool-headed, and constantly loses his temper at the least of provocations. Word-wise, he is pretty smart, sarcastic and scathing, and can hardly hold back his mouth—but most of the things he says, he doesn’t mean sincerely. He cannot stand people who are easily offended, though, so most of his friends are hardasses so they won’t be scared off by his bitching. Oh, and yes, he sometimes gets what he wants through the sheer power of bitching, although most of the time, it does not help. He likes to be in positions of power, so he has taken upon himself the responsibility of making sure all of his friends and his friends’ friends are safe during the entire journey. He can be sensible, organized, and does have a small degree of management skills, but mostly he is just really bossy. The poor unfortunate souls who are traveling with him will be especially subject to his bossy attitude, although it really doesn’t have much substance behind it—Karkat is actually not as vicious as his words suggest, and takes some pleasure in helping his friends in quite a few ways. Despite that, he continues to act like a bigshot, which could be attributed to the fact that he feels painfully insecure and at odds with the universe at times. But nobody has to know that!
