To apply, do the following.
With that out of the way, here are the templates:
- Read the Rules and other information.
- Check the Character List to make sure the character you want is available!
- Create an account if you haven't already! Call it whatever you like, it doesn't have to be after a character.
- Post on the Character List thread asking to reserve a character. (They will be held for one week!)
- Write your application!
- Make a thread containing you application on the Applications Board. Make it pretty if you like, it's not obligatory.
- Wait for a staff member to approve your application. If it's declined, feel free to re-apply.
- Once you're accepted, feel free to start posting! A staff member will probably fix your screen name to your character's name. Give yourself an icon, get to know the other members, and start roleplaying!
With that out of the way, here are the templates:
Main Character (Kid) Application
Name: Character’s name. Pretty self-explanatory! You can add a middle name or something if you want, though.
Starter Pokémon: This can be anything you like, so long as it is in its most un-evolved form, and fits your character. (Nothing legendary or super-rare though, of course.)
Hometown: Bear in mind this is where they will start their adventure. You can pick an area outside of Kanto, but bear in mind this RP in set in that region! So if they are from outside, they will probably start in Vermillion, since that’s the port town.
Appearance: Obviously we know the gist of what each character looks like, but deciding their body and race type stuff is up to you. You can describe their adventuring outfit, too! (This is helpful for fanartists!) Posting a sketch or giving a written description are both acceptable.
Biography: This doesn’t need too extensive, but write a brief outline of how they grew up, and what they’ve been doing with their lives up to this point.
Personality: This is the most important aspect of a character, so don’t be afraid to go to town on this section! Write about what type of person they are, their hobbies, what motivates them, what they like, what they hate, and so on.
Goal: Why is the character undertaking their journey? What do they hope to achieve? Are they trying to catch ‘em all, be the very best? Aiming to make friends and have fun? Shooting for the Pokémon Champion? Outdoing that certain somebody? Write about your character’s ultimate goal.

Gym Leader/Elite Four (Ancestor) Application
Name: The name of the ancestor. Use their title, but if you want to give them an actual name too, that’s always nice.
Position: Say here whether they are a Gym Leader, or a member of the Elite Four. Also say which Gym they run (Vermillion, Fuchsia, etc.) or what position in the Elite Four they hold (1st, 4th, etc.).
Type Speciality: What type of Pokémon do they use? You can pick any type for this; it doesn’t have to match the original games. For example, the Signless runs Pewter Gym, but it’s a Fire Gym.
Badge: Use one of the canon badges (can be taken from any region, we’re not fussed), or make up your own!
Party: Describe their Pokémon team here. If they run a lower-level Gym, they may have a main team and a separate (weaker) team for challengers. You need to include movesets and levels here.
Appearance: Obviously we know the gist of what each character looks like, but deciding extra stuff is up to you. You can describe their outfit, too! (This is helpful for fanartists!) Posting a sketch or giving a written description are both acceptable.
Biography: This doesn’t need too extensive, but write a brief outline of how they grew up, and what they’ve been doing with their lives up to this point. Maybe mention how they came to be a Gym Leader/E4?
Personality: This is the most important aspect of a character, so don’t be afraid to go to town on this section! Write about what type of person they are, their hobbies, what motivates them, what they like, what they hate, and so on. Feel free to talk about how they run their Gym, too.
Before applying for an Ancestor, read the Gym Leader Information!
