Oh! They're already going to fight anyway. might as well go through with it. Hopefully this wouldn't end too badly as this was indeed one of his first battles. If his Nemo can understand his commands, that'd be even better. Now, Mituna, pronounce it as clearly as possible. Don't want your money to be tossed over for defeat. Especially if so far it was a 2 vs 1 battle. Oh how humiliating that would be.
Seeing as the other used Astonish, he'd probably do good to protect himself. Looking over towards the Munna, he narrowed his eyes and tightened his fist before shouting,
"NEMO, UTHSE DEFNESE CURL!"

After an all-too-necessary stop for refuelling (read: munchies), Rufioh is prepared to roam Vermilion City anew. He decides to head over to the port - maybe swooping over the ocean for a little while will psych him up and be just the boost in confidence he needs.
What he wasn't expecting was to find a gathering of friends and acquaintances standing around. They must have all came in on the boat recently or something!
But as Rufioh watches, he learns this is no mere chit-chat. Something is going down - both Kurloz and Mituna are shouting out Pokémon commands!
A Pokéball is lobbed in the midst of the trio (six, if you count Pokémon). The large brown beast released from it forces most participants to step back (or fly back) simply to give him physical space. The Bouffalant uses Leer right out of the gate at both the floating Pokémon, his entrance certainly aiding such.
Now that he has their attention, Rufioh steps in, near his redblood friend. "Hey, couldn't help but notice... This two-v-two is short one trainer and one 'mon. Mind if I step in and even the odds...?" Haha, yes! This is exactly what he needed to get himself psyched up! A team battle with friends! Not to mention, he gets to come to Kankri's aid, that's pretty ballin' too!
Oh. Oh no. Fuck no. Of course. He wouldn’t expect less from them. Just because they got a little upset at something he said, for some dumb reason, they were going to battle against him like this. Was there some rule against this? He’d half to try to talk them out of it.
“Kurloz, Mituna. Surely you are better than this. We are buddies, aren’t we? And buddies don’t make buddies fight in an unfair situation. There is no way Scree would be able to battle both of you at the same time. Though Scree is not a bad fighter, he is not as great as he could be at this level. Scree, I’m sure you’re fantastic, but nevertheless, I do share great concern for you own skill level. Beings born as a Zubats is fantastic, but they have not the greatest skill. I do not want you to wind up beaten and depressed. Please hear me out, Kurloz and Mituna. Maybe we could make a deal? Change the situation? I am aware I have done something to upset you, though I can’t fathom what. Nevertheless, I do not believe I deserve to battle in an unfair way such as this. Maybe I could just battle one of you? Kurloz or Mituna. I wouldn’t care, I’m sure you both are fine. It is unfair to judge trainers on how they battle. After all, trainers cannot help their skill level. Some beings born as Pokemon may not be as strong as others, especially if levels are involved. But really…”
A Poke Ball interrupts him. Out comes a Bouffalant, a Pokemon Kankri is not very familiar with, but nevertheless. Kankri jumps back to give it some space and Scree flies out of the way.
"Hey, couldn't help but notice... This two-v-two is short one trainer and one 'mon. Mind if I step in and even the odds...?"
Kankri was counting his lucky stars. How fortunate could he be?
“Haha, no, I do not mind at all personally. Frankly, I am more than thankful for your appearance. I’d love to chat with you about Poke Balls, Rufioh, but we have a battle to attend.” Kankri grinned.
“Scree, Supersonic, aim it at which ever Pokemon you’d like.” Kankri’s voice took a somewhat cocky tone.
Scree gladly flew by Nemo, and flapped his wings viciously as he let out an ear-piercing screech.

Oh brother, god he hoped this whole battle wouldn't be driven down by Kankri's babblings. This battle started and from the look of the Zubat they'd go through with it.
Then something changed it all. He raised an eyebrow at the pokeball that suddenly appeared in the middle before his eyes widened at the creature that was released.
Shit. Just shit.
No, it couldn't possibly true. Unfortunately the tables had been turned if his memories were correct. He stumbled backwards and his face dropped at the pokemon that was much bigger than him. This was not going to go well. He could only hope the level of the Bouffalant wasn't too high. He whipped his head over to Kurloz and it was clear he was in distress. He honestly hoped Kurloz knew as much as he did about what was to come most likely.
He winced at the screech and Nemo became confused. Mituna growled at this development. He'd have to play his cards carefully. It was most likely that from this status he'd just end up damaging his own side. Well, he'd have to take his chances anyway. He took a deep breath before commanding, "Use Pssszwave on Zhubat!"
Kurloz took a few steps back after the large Pokemon appeared. He looked over at Rufioh, glaring daggers at him, snarling as well. Great, just great. Now the battle was even. Or they might just lose because the Bouffalant was so big. He hoped it wasn't leveled up too much higher than Tenebris was.
Tenebris at the moment seemed to be throwing a fit; screeching and darting around in the air, eyes glowing a bright color.
"Disable the Zubat, Tenebris." came the disembodied voice from Kurloz, that seemed to drift from the Pokemon itself.
The Yamask shivered, then flew to Screech, its eyes flashing a bright red then going out, using DISABLE making the Zubat unable to use Supersonic for a few turns. The Pokemon floated back towards its owner, who seemed to be in a bit of a daze. The purple in his eyes was almost glowing, and his pupils seemed quite small. He didn't seem to be looking at anything in particular, just looking ahead and staring into nothing.

Haha, Rufioh loves the response his entrance got. Except maybe from Kurloz, who seems to either quite pissed that Rufioh's helping Kankri out. Or maybe he just doesn't like the guy.
However, Kurloz probably has nothing to fear. As the only Normal-type here, Bouffalant and Yamask would probably be at a stalemate.
Or so one might expect. As Tenebris floats back toward Kurloz, Timber jumps forward to strike it.
Rufioh can be seen with a "ah-ha!" smirk on his face, and a couple fingers on his temple. He must be c♉mmuning
with Timberbull to give him attack commands - in this case, Pursuit. Surprise attacks are much more effective when the trainer isn't hollering them out like a big spoiler.
And yes, a Normal 'mon attacking a Ghost with a Dark move is a pretty big spoiler.[/blockquote]
Starting his second turn, Kankri could already tell that this battle was not going to go his way, though even if Scree was knocked out soon, Rufioh still might be able to conquer them with his Bouffalant. The Zubat had taken Nemo’s hit rather hard, clearly depleting quite a bit of HP. With the follow-up of disable as well, Scree needed to take Rufioh’s turn as a quick opportunity to regain himself.
Kankri bit his bottom lip, frustrated with Scree’s type disadvantage. Despite avoiding battling, he reveled in the excitement of it, and strongly disliked losing, and he could most certainly smell out the possibility of a loss - for him, at least. He figured that he must have dawdled enough, and was prepared to dish out another move.
“Alright, Scree, hit the, er, Moona? The pink floral one, I mean. No offense to them, but I can’t remember the species name, assuming they identify with their species, which I really should not do but they seem to be comfortable with their species, though in the case they do not then I apologize. Anyways, Scree, hit them with a Leech Life, if you so wish.”
Scree rushed over to the Munna, sinking his teeth into it. Only a moment after, he released, and regained a very slight amount of energy back. The way he flapped back towards the direction of Kankri, though speedy, seemed to express Scree feeling rather proud of himself.

Getting the second turn, he noticed things may be looking up for him. Sure, Scree had gotten some of his own HP but it shouldn't be too much of an issue from here on out if he could play his cards right. Though there was the Bouffalant that was going to give him issues. He frowned and thought for a moment on how he was going to play out his turn before ultimately deciding, giving a reassuring nod to himself and playing on a big grin.
"Alrighhhh, we caan DO THISSS, Neeemo!" he started out with a rather raspy voice, "Justhss hang in tffhere! Uthe Luckckyy Thant!!" The command reached through and viola! The munna seemed to shine and sparkle before it put its effects on him and his ally. The confusion should soon go after. Just when was the question.
Kurloz watched his pokemon get hit, shuddering as the small thing screamed in his head. The pokemon shook itself out after the attack, losing just about half it's HP from the attack being super effective. The troll's thin body shuddered one more as his pokemon continued it's agonized noises that echoed in his skull. He dug his pointed claw-like nails into his palms while listening to Tenebris.
He watched Mituna's pokemon also get hit, frowning and looking back at Rufioh, then his large pokemon. This wasn't going to be good if Tenebris fainted. He listened to his Yamask screech outwardly, and then looked at the Bouffalant. 'Disable the other as well, Tenebris' Kurloz muttered in his mind to the pokemon. It hesitated and then flew towards Rufioh's companion, eyes flashing a bright red in the pokemon's face.
Rufioh sets his jaw. His teeth gritted, but not showing beyond his grimacing lips. "Shit, man... That's totally unfair that you get to Disable us both." In a normal battle, you can only use Disable once, but in a double battle the dynamic is different... Rufioh thought for a minute that he was safe from that curse-move, but evidently not.
All Timberbull's other moves are Normal. He won't be able to attack a ghost now. "Hey, Kankri! The Yamask's all yours, I'm stalemated."
Rufioh looks toward the Munna. Let's see, Psychic type, weak to Dar-- Oh, gosh, DAMMIT, Kurloz! Rufioh glances over to the purpleblood. "Smart move, Kurloz... You put me in a real spot here." He'll give him that much!
He's got very few options left. So he may as well use THAT move... the one that kinda traps him into a place where he can't change his mind. After all, there's not much else he can do except attack Nemo.
C♉mmuning with his beast, Rufioh issues a command the others cannot hear. A loud, enraged noise explodes from Timberbull as he throws his head up, then lowers it and exhales a hot breath from flared nostrils.
Good lord he looks pissed. Whatever Rufioh told him really got his temper running. The Bouffalant careens toward Nemo full-tilt, with little to no caution. Rage is the name. When his body would collide with Nemo's, it would probably send the light Pokémon flying.
Kankri gritted his teeth. Was Lucky Chant a good move? What did it do? He wasn’t an experienced battler at all, and the move was entirely unfamiliar to him. Kankri figured that it must not be that big of a deal, and wouldn’t treat it as one (unless it was similar to a Yu-Gi-Oh! trap card…man, what’s even with status moves?).
"Hey, Kankri! The Yamask's all yours, I'm stalemated."
Shoot, probably should have been paying attention.
“Got it!”
When Rufioh attacked though, oh god, does his Bouffalant look upset. That’s…good, right? I mean, seeing a Pokémon so upset isn’t pleasuring, but it might help them win.
“Alright, Scree…let’s hit the Yamask one of your Gusts! If you want to, that is.”
Scree put his effort into giving a large flap with his wings, sending a gust of wind right in the direction of Kurloz’s Yamask.

We're pretty deep in the danger territory. Thank GOD he had used Lucky Chant. He can plainly see what's going to happen a mile away from the first noise coming out of the opponent. This isn't good at all. He had been more at ease with Kurloz using Disable but it seemed Rufioh had decided to use that one move. Ugh, his beginner's luck was rotten. First note to self: LEVEL UP YOUR MUNNA.
Perhaps if he had gotten a bunch of defense curls in he would've been better off. He knew pretty easily that his pokemon was the target too. He'd better get rid of this Bouffalant and fast if he was to have much of any hope. There was that accursed confusion state though. It was a risk if he wanted to actually be on the offensive. Perhaps he should avoid it...
It happened all so fast. The brown blur smashed against Nemo and the poor helpless Munna was sent flying away. Without much of a thought, Mituna leaped into action. Literally.
Not sure if Nemo would be able to stop himself in the air before he'd hit either the sea or the boats nearby, Mituna had done the stupidest thing in the world and launched into the air off the boardwalk off of an instinct, throwing his helmet onto the dock against the wood. He landed in the water predictably and soon resurfaced right in front of the three boats nearby. He spat out some water and coughed almost uncontrollably before he forced himself under the water for both the fact he wasn't keeping himself floating in the current way he was swimming (which probably didn't count as much of a technique what with his impaired motor skills). On the other hand, his Munna had indeed landed on the top of the water and barely sunk into it. It was more of a pebble thrown against a pond kind of effect. Noticing his trainer, he floated upward off the water and moved slowly towards him.
Perhaps Mituna would've flashed a smile, if it weren't for his coughing once more. His pokemon aided him in getting to the dock once more. Once he had a slippery gloved hand onto the high edge sort of, he managed to spit out something almost incoherent: "DEFENEFDNTHEEEEE KKKUURLSO"
Nemo hesitantly left his owner's side and released a white ring and blue bubble-shaped thing once more, increasing his defense stat. Meanwhile, the troll had been having difficulty trying to get himself back up as he bobbed up and down.
